Fernando 6,585
Typical English media harping on about Pellegrini being average, see it's this type of short sighted mentality is why the media in this country get pelters all the time.Pellegrini is a superb manager, very clever and well respected amongst managers around the world. Listen to the English media and they will have you believe he has just come out of kids coaching.Absolute toss pots, honestly. So it is as I was expecting. Now City will be a real force. I never took them serious with Mancini. Sure they won the PL last year, but that was because United had a once in a lifetime collapse with SAF. With Pellegrini going to City, now more then ever we will need a top coach. If Mourinho does not come back we might be screw.

Why do people go on as if Mourinho does not come it will be the end?I want Jose as much as anyone but that doesn't mean it will happen. This football club will be fine if we don't get Jose, but regardless of him the signing are as key as the managerial appointment.Chelsea won't end if Jose doesn't come here, please remember that. As Chelsea had a better squad, and got outsmarted by a crappier team like United because of their coach. I don't think their are many top coaches out there left. Besides Guardiola and Klopp I don't see anybody else. And those two are not coming.

Madmax 9,219
Well according to this article, Pellegrini is really good.......Manuel Pellegrini is next best thing for Manchester City after Guardiola http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2013/may/12/manuel-pellegrini-manchester-city-malagaYeah he is very good; my post was in the context of the soundbytes that Ferguson - Mourinho - Mancini axis would have generated. Would've been tasty.
IkE 267
I might say, that Pellegrini with Real Madrid did nothing, so I don't see the point of him being enormous. He is great with mid-profile teams, let's see again with City...
The only place to be 11,313
If City get Pelligrini, they are, imo, favorites to win the league next season with the current squad they have. He's going to walk in the door, sit the players down, keep them in suspenceful silence for a few minutes and then it's going to happen.....He's going to slam his Intertoto Cup Winner's medal down on the table for them all to see....a hushed silence will fall over the room.....he's won their respect. A good result for Pellegrini next season is making it out of the Champions League group stages and finishing top three. I reckon that if they give him £200 million to spend then he can do it. Ronaldo 28
City current squad is a.lot better than Chelsea......However, Mancini really held some players back from their peaks.
Kojo 4,676
City current squad is a.lot better than Chelsea......However, Mancini really held some players back from their peaks. That's true, they have a great strike force and players like Yaya Toure, that's the thing we incredibly lack in our team.Keep Demba Ba, get rid of Torres, buy another striker and actually spend a big amount on one, someone like Lewandowski, I really think we need someone good upfront. Then we can try and sort the pivot out, because it really does need helping, we definitely need someone who can pass a fecking ball for starters. I hope they keep Mancini and don't get Pellegrini.
Ronaldo 28
Man city really underperformed this year....They have solid 11 and good enough squad players to win both domestic cups and league......They sold Mario, who has I think 11 goals already in Milan. Both Silva and Nasri are underutilized as well as dzeko.

Pizy 18,909
Now the nervous wait to make sure Mou doesn't take that job begins just like a few days ago with United. There'll be MASSIVE investment from them in the summer and I'd say they'll be favorites for the title. Can't say it has not been coming. And City sack Mancini on the same day they won the title last season. Oh my..As for Pellegrini taking over, the way some people have talked about him is as if he's the mother of all managers and City will immediately become an unbeatable team should he take over. Rmpr 8,977
Shit, Mancini is a terrible coach and now, with Pellegrini, ManCity are back on the pole positioning for next year's EPL. I hope Jose has the same quick amazing impact as he had before and we get going without a transition and adaptation period. If that happens, we are capable of fighting for next year's title, but if we take time to start playing well (like Real Madrid), I am afraid we will be going to compete for top4 again...
