Stats 7,164
Reus has other options at other top clubs all over the world. He could walk onto literally any club in the world. Also, for every Pirlo and Cesc, there's a Totti, Xavi, Gerrard, Maldini, etc.But being German and playing for Bayern is a huge honour. Lew had so many options but insisted on joining Bayern and even though he is not German, he played in Germany long enough to know how big of a honour it is to play for them. Rather than go for a new challenge abroad he joined his closest rivals. Reus will have plenty of options but at Bayern he probably will aready feel at home and have chemistry with the rest of the team. I really think it is inevitable he goes Bayern. He could walk onto literally any club in the world. Also, for every Pirlo and Cesc, there's a Totti, Xavi, Gerrard, Maldini, etc.And not every club in the world offers the opportunity to stay in Germany with his family and friends while enjoying the benefits (trophies, attractive wages, bigger legacy) that other top clubs like Madrid, barca et al would offer. And for every Totti,Gerrard, maldini, there are Denis law, Ashley cole, Gotze, Sol Campbell, RVP, Schmeichel and to a lesser extent the likes of Figo, Laudrup, Bernd Shuster, Kenny miller et al.The tottis and maldinis are the exception to the rule. Loyalty in football is as close to a myth as you will ever get.
iseah100 5,612
Looking forward to iseah's reaction when reus goes to Bayern At first, I thought you were just hoping but actually you are pretty serious and really that naive!Tell Reus I said hi, I love him, since you talk to him regularly. But being German and playing for Bayern is a huge honour. I really think it is inevitable he goes Bayern.Tell that to Kroos, Khedira, and Ozil. Maybe he wants a new challenge, maybe he wants to go abroad? Not every player wants to stay home. He seems to genuinely love BVB he's a home town boy.And not every club in the world offers the opportunity to stay in Germany with his family and friends while enjoying the benefits (trophies, attractive wages, bigger legacy) that other top clubs like Madrid, barca et al would offer. Reus has won titles with BVB, I think he'd fancy a move abroad than alienate Borussia. Not all players are unloyal. Reus won't go to Bayern. DYC. 7,542
RobertReus-Muller-RobbenWith gotze as primary backup....Shaqiri imo is all but gone and Muller/Reus could always slide in the CF role in specific situations...People said the exact same thing when Gotze/thiago went to bayern, but eventually things work out for themselves. That's what I said, no Gotze. Gotze is far too talented to be a back-up. So if Reus does join, interest should be high for Gotze. And I would love to see him become a Blue. Cholo 428
Kroos: left Bayern because they couldn't agree on a new contract because of financial reasons and Bayern didn't consider him that crucial. Only then when he knew that there was little Chance for a new agreement, he started talks with RealKhedira: Bayern didn't want him actually when he was playing for Stuttgart.Özil: When was Bayern in Transfer talks with Özil?@iseah: You know little about German football, pretty sad. Kroos is a different one as Kroos was offered a contract but wanted more which Bayern were not going to give so in the end they sold him for quite a lot of money. Also while Bayern have always been a major club domestically and continentally, when Khedira and Ozil left their respective German teams, the Bayern of then were much inferior to the Bayern of present who are almost formidable. They are a much more attractive proposition for players now.

Reus won't go to Bayern.Kroos went to madrid because bayern has a specific pay structure and they wanted to follow it. In addition, pep made it known that Thiago was his main man for the future and Kroos was replaceable.Ozil is linked back to munich and their are numberous reports he wants out of arsenal to return to germany.Khedira is a mourinho player. Not a world class player.

Viper22 2,418
If Reus goes to Bayern a small part of me will die. I'm really hoping that loyalty in football is not completely dead. I'm not saying he has to stay at BVB for the rest of his career, just not to their direct rivals. I'm really hoping he doesn't do that to BVB fans. Sepehr SS 36
Reus will be a chelsea player if we offer him 250k a week, This club desperately needs Reus. Schurrle is the worst player in this club, sell his sorry ass and buy Reus. It will be a dream come true for me to see Reus in a chelsea shirt.
