Not many clubs appear to be interested in him. I like to pay attention to the market because it shows the real valuation of a player--personal opinions aside.

There's nothing wrong with Ba except the issue with his knee may be something that Jose isn't keen on long term and maybe the fact that he's not a global icon which seems to matter nowadays.
