Am i the only one who thinks he is good as a 3rd choice squad player?

He will never be good enough to play regularly but there is some games that suit him and he gives us another option (Norwich away this season being the main case in point).

Take a bow son. He was in his element when he came on. Long ball after long ball, he was trapping them for fun.

Indeed. Barring that one shocking game he had against Villa, Ba has done well of the task asked from him everytime he plays. Nothing fancy but has certainly been effective and efficient. Deserves a tad more credit than he's probably getting.

Ba better than Torres.....

Hahahahahaha.

Neither is good enough to be a first choice striker at a club of our stature but there isn't much between em. I certainly would not laugh Chelsea's Ba is on a similar level to Chelsea's Torres.

Both arent good enough.

Either way great goal today and made the difference after coming on at half time.

He's the long ball option. If he wasn't playing, we woulda lost the game. I remember when we were losing to Arsenal 1-0, we brought Anelka on and played him with Drogba and hammered the long balls up to Didier. They linked superbly and we won 2-1. He's the only striker we have with strength, height and the long ball game.

It's also another sign to bring back the good ol' 4-4-2. He uses it like he used Crespo with Drogba and that was wonderful too, especially against West Ham. Ba should start against Sunderland.

What was the deal with the tekkers yesterday?! His first touch was to control a 50 yard long ball and just stop it on his foot, then he was making all sorts of flicks and later he had that amazing back heel to Hazard(?). It was hilarious to see he was capable of such things!
