At the end of the season I will have two hear how many excuses for how many different games? When we play well, benitez and the boys are fucking amazing, when we lose it was just some occasional fucking shit...

They're games where you get completely dominated and there are times when things just don't go your way.

We certainly did not get dominated against Corinthians or QPR, they just scored some fluky goal while we fucked up half-chances all over the place. Meh.

Let's be clear here and not get tied up with debut hat tricks, Lampard is the penalty taker end of, same as when Makele got to take his, missed it and made a cunt of us. That's not how it works - you have a penalty taker, end of. Nice wee end to Ba's debut, a penalty, a hatrick, what a start - how luckY and nice we are. Or... Lampard gives Ba the ball, Ba misses it and we miss 4th place on goal difference by one because guess what - Ba isn't great at pens. Get real folks, he's been here a game - let's stick to the plan (assuming there is one)

Yes, I do.

1. The team is supposed to overcome the difficulties and win, even if a player from the oppostion gets MOTM. That is what great teams do, they win no matter what. This is stupid, you should not get a pass and overlook the clear mistakes just because the game is pointless or the keeper had a fucking brilliant day. I think it was not Bayern's fault to lose UCL because Cech had the game of his life, they should all just be happy because there was nothing they could do...

2. Arguying we lost to QPR because Mata wasnt at his best is the worst excuse ever. No Mata, no win? Worse than that, you arent bothered by it. We are Champions or Europe, not some Loserpool who depends solely on Suarez...

We have to analyse our problems so we can fix it, we are not horrible, but not great either (yet). If some start to find a stupid reason for any match we lose, things will never get better. So glad you arent a member of the coaching staff. You aren't, right?

Aye okay - I've been clearing my house and scooped a serious amount of bevvy - HOWEVER - despite my pishedness and forgetting it was a cup game - the point is stil the same - pen takers are pen takers, if Va wants a hat tick go and ge tone son - knock yourself out

We did enough to beat Corinthians, but just didn't have the luck with us which is amazing considering it's a tin pot cup that we had to travel thousands of miles for in a pretty packed schedule to face a well-rested team. Oh, and we had a new manager. So we lost? Big fucking deal.

The QPR game matters far more and that win simply came down to us not having Mata. Yes we should be better but we're not right now. Acknowledging that doesn't mean I don't care, it means I'm being realistic. Rafa fucked up and selected the wrong team.

That's a fair analysis of those results. I'd ask for your's but I don't care.

Sorry, this is just a losers mentality.

When things don't go our way we have to sit and try to improve. It doesnt work like: "oh bad luck, lets wait next year".

I am not making a fuss about those wins, I said that we can't only view it as a bad day at the office and everything is fine. We have to find ways to improve and, reflecting on our losses is by far the best way to start.

It is not wonderland...

Of course we can improve, we're not Barcelona that can win every game. I'm really just being realistic looking at our team, they're positions we can get a lot better at (one we just fixed yesterday) and so we can look brilliant one week and not so much the next.

The team is also filled with not so great finishers which hurts in close, tight games with very few chances like the Corinthians one. And not great depth, which hurt in the QPR game.
