If we're going to have success this year then everyone needs to believe in the squad.Everyone in that side contributed though today and a great day with the signing of a striker looking closer.MOTM tough to pick - I'm going for Turnball. Hard to come into a side under any circumstances but at half-time away to Everton and he made a fantastic save to keep us in it. Fair play to Lamps too though - he's earning a new contract in recent weeks rather than simply letting his reputation get him one and that's commendable. We were an absolute mess but Cech and the woodwork saved us and Lampard won it. Expected to win against weakened Everton side but the way we managed to do it was very impressive. Some stadiums, fans, pitches & players simply make that an almost impossible task - something Everton have done all year. We're the first team to break that 'curse' they have on other teams this season at their own ground. This, just after beating Norwich City who took down both Arsenal & Manchester United earlier this season.Things are looking up. If we truly do sign Demba Ba after this win I'll be ecstatic. We played the football and yes Everton caused us heaps of trouble but we dug in well and credit to the boys, the effort was first class. That is the performance and grit of a team that challenges for trophies. Frank Lampard still has the golden touch in a Chelsea shirt. Please Roman, sign him up. Stunning victory. We got a tanking here last year and we had to stand up for ourselves. We went 1-0 down but after half an hour we started getting into the game. Once we got a foothold we got a goal at a good time. It was always going to be very close and we did ride our luck at times. We have to keep believing this season - there is a long way to go. We can only win our games then rely on other things."We haven't been talking [about a new contract] in the last couple of weeks and I'm just concentrating on playing.
