BleedsBlue 1,549
How about a loan move with an option to buy at the end of the season? The important thing is to just get rid off him here and free up the wages. Reddish-Blue
CHOULO19 24,332
I think people are exaggerating what an atrocity it would be if he stayed. Take his wages out of the equation and he's not a bad squad player. Yes, he can be terrible at times, but he can also excellent when he's up for it and against certain teams. If Lukaku is leaving, I'd honestly wouldn't mind Torres staying because he can offer something different to Costa (and Didier?).
Parky 739
I would assume that he has already sold enough shirts to justify his transfer fee and wages? Someone please present the facts..

A good squad player is someone that can come in and make a difference on the pitch. Torres is not that player. CHOULO19 24,332
This could be Oscar we are talking about Haha. They had pretty similar season in a way, actually. Started strong, got inconsistent over winter and finished on a low. The differences are Torres' wages and the fact that Oscar is still very young and a work in progress. Also, people who buy the shirts are mostly fans of the club who would buy one with someone else's name on the back if Torres wasn't around so in reality the amount of money Torres has earned the club through merchandise sales matters fuck all if the costs are £80m+.In another news, I just read on AS that Simeone has green-lit a bid for Torres. As they say, it's the hope that kills you.

Parky 739
As much as I hate this poor excuse for footballer it seems he is quite marketable and probably has made he transfer fee and wages more tolerable. I guess this is the only positive.. RoyalBlues

I guess this is the only positive..You do know that most of the revenue from shirt sales goes straight to Adidas right? We only get a quite small percentage of the actual profit. So his marketability is nothing huge. Jype
