Phil Driver 503 Posted December 21, 2013 Share Posted December 21, 2013 Nando would have a point about the team not being set up for him to score if he was not getting chances as a result of that , he is getting chances and some of them easy chances ,he needs to convert some of the chances that come his way as well as score goals out of nothing ,the hallmark of a top class striker.He must do better as time is running out for him to make his mark at Chelsea,he is the type of striker who should be judged on his goal record and that is poor for Chelsea. He's lost his acceleration and finishing. His goal record wasn't very impressive at A Madrid. His first Liverpool season was great, second was good, third was poor. His first Liverpool season was great, second was good, third was poor.I've never been a fan of Torres.And while he was scoring a lot at Liverpool in big matches, against the teams that were sitting deep, he was already not that great at Liverpool.Add to that he lost his acceleration after his knee injury and he is average. Not even one cross like arsenal did for giroud. Torres experienced what lukaku has experienced at everton this december in this arsenal match. Chased every lost cause. Showed good physicality and a lot of pace. And won first balls quite often. Every time the ball was played into his feet it resulted in a turnover. He caused 3 turnovers, made 18 passes and had a pass success rate of 67%.
