Muzchap 8,966
still better to have him performing, the club still got the chance of selling him. Torres best contribution was his brillant pass with the outside of his boot around the defence for Oscar to make a mess of it but Chavez still managed to convert. Nonetheless the old Torres would have scored more, he could not even beat these Monterrey defenders for pace. I think he passed to Mata dude - and Mata was trying to square it for Oscar - so don't know how they made a mess of it?

OneMoSalah 8,886
this. this is the attitude, that makes me confused... i thought you were a chelsea fan? wouldnt you want him to do well? so now if he doesnt score he's out? thats ridiculous...trust me im about done with him at this club, but that doesnt mean i wont stop supporting him... he is a blue now, sorry if that upsets you...c'mon nando, bag a hat trickcause im not the only one who can see (even without the 4 goals) in the past 4 games his movement and mentality is completely better, idk, he seemed different... Torres cost 50 million. I don't know if 5 goals is meant to cover 2 years worth of shitness but yeah. didierforever
xPetrCechx 13,571
Fernando Torres has now scored 5 goals in 3 games. The same amount he scored in his first 51 for chelsea. #RafaEffectFernando Mufassir08 and BlueLion.

CHOULO19 24,332
he was abysmal todayI actually agree. He was invisible in the first half despite the vast spaces behind their defense. His movement and asking for the pass (or rather lack of) was terrible. He played well for 10 min at the start of the second half and not because he scored but because he started making runs and looking to get involved. Then, he went missing again till he was subbed off. His only moment of quality was the pass with the outside of the foot to Mata. He got very lucky for his goal; I thought it should have been an OG because the first shot looked to be heading to the side netting.Don't get me wrong, I'm glad he is scoring, but what he showed yesterday was not nearly enough. Django 83
Moan Moan Moan Moan. Why does it matter how much we paid for him? It's clear Roman isn't exactly hurting financially because he spent a lot of money to bring Torres here. I genuinely believe some fans hold a grudge against him because they were so excited when he signed and it didn't work out. He is not exempt for criticism, and I have been on his back on multiple occasions since he signed for uninterested performances but when he is scoring it just seems to get worse. You get the 'pub team' comments which are ludicrous - you can only score against the team in front of you - and comments about how bad it is that he is scoring because the board won't sell him which is basically wishing poor form on him. It's certainly no coincidence that these commenters are arm chair fans, usually under 17-18 who have grown up to be spoilt with success and legends like Drogba, Nico etc. Torres is a Chelsea Player, both he and some of our fans should act like it more often, recently he's been holding up his end of that bargain and maybe it's time for some posters to do the same.
