DH1988 1,348
Probably say something like 'I left Liverpool, it was a mistake, Chelsea was a mistake, didn't play to my strengths, didn't use me correctly - I still love Liverpool' Ashblues
different level 1,056
Give the guy a break, he scored yesterday and has a fair share of goals under his name so far this season. Have you ever thought of giving him some support instead of bashing (which recently is really uncalled for IMO), just look at our fans last night chanting his name. DH1988 1,348
@different levelCheck my posts I defended him to the hilt! Just cannot defend him anymore when we performances like we do, sometimes he works hard and makes things happen for other people but lets just cut our losses I really cannot be bothered to write paragraph upon paragraph but more and more fans are losing patience with him, once again I say SADLY! I want him to do well in Chelsea blue but we need a goal scorer not someone who refuses to be subbed.
Tomo 21,751
The ironic thing is take away his ego and price tag you have the perfect squad player. Peace.

However ever since Robbie stepped in he has improved significantly and I dare to say he has done okay, scoring regularly. I'm not saying there is no room for improvement, there obviously is and it is a big one until he becomes the player we paid 50mln for. What upsets me is that it appears that our fans are oblivious to his improvement and they have probably developed a habit of bashing and blaming him to the point it feels they are not watching our matches and are just going to the forums and post "Torres sucks, new striker please". manpe 10,861
Torres is like a husband who can't have a boner(can't score). He may give cash and stuff(good linkup play) but in the end he needs to fucking score or the wife(fans) will get frustrated and angry. And when he does, it lasts for 30 seconds

He may work as a squad player but to have someone like him, with his huge wages as a squad player is just dumb. I wouldnt even want him as a squad player as he isnt that player who can come in and score late goals. Some people mention that he has scored many goals this season, but seriously. He has played almost all games for us this season and got 7 goals in 17 games, only 1 in 4 cl games. Compair that to other top club strikers and you'll see that its not that good. Most of the goals also came in the begining of the season. Right now he's back to his shitty form.

BlueLion. 21,491
The Fernando Torres I saw last night was by some distance our best player. Funny how well he plays when you watch the game live, you really do appreciate his movement more.

Funny how well he plays when you watch the game live, you really do appreciate his movement more.Torres was poor last night. Even his link up play was not that good. His first touch let him down constantly, was probably the most dispossessed player on the pitch. Sturridge offers just as more with link up play and movement IMO.Another thing - those ten minutes after the goal when Torres was playing with some sort of confidence? Sturridge plays like that every game, regardless of whether he's scored a goal or playing good or bad.

Scoring every 250 minutes on the field is not a good return - RvP scoring and assisting 3 goals for that same amount of time. Torres is being paid like a World Class player yet he is just about "decent" - if the club wasn't a slave to his big name and status it would be fine. I have no problem having Torres in the squad even on his 175k p/w wages. What I have a problem with is the fact we didn't buy a striker in the summer to compete with him; we also send out Lukaku on loan because he would not receive enough time on the field for us; we are not playing Sturridge. He simply has not proven on the field he should be an automatic first choice striker and the insistence of playing him so much instead of rotating him when he is not especially effective is baffling. RamiCFC9 258
"Decent" is obviously not good enough for a guy who is the eight best paid player in the world.

Joker10 946
LOL i just noticed Ivanovic was the one ahead of everyone that resulted the GK to come out and head it away. I initially thought it was Torres, since the Commentator mistook Ivanovic for Torres.
