  1. 1. Rafa Out?

Recommended Posts

Today has been one of the worse days I have experienced as a Chelsea fan. Apart from my Samsung Galaxy S3 arriving, I have felt genuinely upset and sorry for Robbie and all I can say is that this Chelsea Legend deserves credit beyond what words are possible to describe. The manner in which he has carried himself as the Chelsea interim come boss has been admirable and will never be forgotten as the one who delivered us our first Champions League trophy.

Trying to hold back my anger in disbelief of the events that have followed out 3-0 thrashing from the Italian giants, I have dug deep and attempted to find what little positives that can be found in the appointment of Rafa the fat Spanish wanker Apart from the obvious being that he is only appointed until the end of the season which after we all expect Pep to take the helm, let's not forget that Rafa has achieved a lot in his career and after all is said and done you can't deny what he delivered at Liverpool even if he is an annoying mug.

As for Roman.. jeez.. sort it out my Russian friend. We simply can't carry on sacking every manager that goes on a bad run, it's past becoming a farce and now just making a mockery of the managers, players, staff, club and us the fans who stand up for every decision made by the crazy Russian King. I can never be too mad at Roman though for all that he has given us even if he has just sacked the nicest and most honourable manager Chelsea has had in a long, long time for nothing at all.

Are you supposed to be happy because of a cell phone?

Are you supposed to be happy because of a cell phone?

If you knew the shit storm of a day I have been through to get that phone then you would understand how fucking happy that little ray of light has made me. ESPECIALLY after the bullshit that has gone on at Chels. So YES.

‎"It was an honour for me to be appointed manager of a club that I loved playing for and one that is so close to my heart. I am extremely proud of the successes and trophies that we were able to bring to the club in recent months.

Lifting Chelsea's first Champions League trophy, in Munich, was the best achievement in club history and without doubt the highlight of my career to date, both as a player and manager. It is a memory I will treasure for the rest of my life.

I have a deep and unreserved passion for Chelsea Football Club and I would like to sincerely thank all of the staff, my players and of course the Chelsea fans, for their tremendous and unconditioned support in the intense time I have been the manager at the Bridge. I wish all of them every success for the rest of the season and beyond."

So you're telling me Valencia winning La Liga twice in front of Barca and Real is not an accomplishment? That's 2 seasons of consistently outperforming everybody else.

And RDM only has a small number of games and you are not comparing RDMs WBA record with Benitez!

See how stats can lie.

Benitez isn't the best but he did well for Liverpool and they are shit - so could do well for us...

It wasn't all Rafa. He took over a team that went to the CL final twice in a row - regardless, that was nearly 10 years ago.

My main gripe with this appointment is that Rafa isn't even a top manager anymore. He's been on the decline since his last Liverpool days and managed to turn a treble winning Inter into a mediocre side, even though they had some top top players.

What I don't like is how people are selectively bringing up his past and then try to filter out his bad moments (which have come more recently ironically) to justify his appointment's okay. It is not. Like I've said before, this sacking was more undeserved than Jose's sacking. I can see the likes of JT, Ash & Frank rebelling about this. Imagine if he brings back Malouda as well?!

Dark, dark times ahead.

a mate(liverpool fan) told me that rafa wanted to sign falcao way before he went to porto, but liverpool owners then wanted somebody else.. is this true?

Yep for 3.5m Euros.

We also pretty much had David Silva signed as well but the owners pulled out last minute.

Also something about Torres..

45]

Rafa also told me Torres is nursing a knee injury and, although still playing, it is affecting his form/confidence

Finally, Benitez is looking forward to linking up with Fernando Torres again, but revealed he has a knee injury which is affecting his form

Another tweet on this "knee injury"

Did this knee injury occur three years ago?

As long as we are winning and playing good football I don't care even if Tony Adams is our manager.I want the best for this club and if appointing Rafa is the right thing he has my full backing.Robbie was not only sacked due to bad recent results but also because he failed to make our club play as Abramovic wants !He was massively out of his depth for this goal and was deservedly sacked.
