Surely Chelsea officials must have been confident there is sufficient proof besides one or two people hearing it. They were quick enough to shoot down Cole's statement in the Terry saga.

If all match officials support Clattenburg thats 3 supporting statements he will have. Without any other evidence this will not hold up! Surely there must be some video evidence!

Well he was in the grounds, so it is a possibility that he was consulted before the club issued the complaint. But do you ask the owner about something like this? It is hardly his area of expertise.

Chelsea has done no wrong by lodging a complain. Racism should be a highly considered matter. Letting it go would have been very stupid. But the thing is there's absolutely no proof that Clattenburg has used any sort of racial insults against two of the Chelsea players since none of those were recorded (very stupid, again). The other officials are definitely going to take Clattenburg's side. So basically if he is not found guilty then our image is slightly ruined. And to make things worst, there is always the media.

Its embarrassing this it really is. Changing our story it just looks like were trying to get him back, we should really know how ridiculous the amount of negative attention alleged racism brings to the club. We had the moral high ground with everyone agreeing that it was a poor refereeing performance but no we just look petty and spoiled.
