Oscar

Has been poor of late because the FSW is bad managing him.

Brazils current number 10, one of the stars of the Olympics and a player who scored 5 goals in the CL group stages is played out of position and either gets benched or hauled off first routinely.

Sorry he was played in his preferred position yesterday and could not cope with being closed down, same as the 2nd half against Arsenal.

I was screaming at the TV 'SUB HIM' he was clearly not right for this you could see that in the first 45 mins but for some reason Rafa waited a long time before benching him.

Oscar isn't all he's cracked up to be, no I'm not saying this after a few bad games, I've been saying it for ages, check my posts - he's in the wrong league. Should be in Serie A.

Wow thats a really descriptive and well thought out reply, pal.

I'm well aware of his age, however, doesn't change my opinion that his game is better suited elsewhere, funny how I can count the good games he's had on one hand in the EPL/cup games! Yet practically 80-90% of his CL games were good, why is that.. European style of football?

But it only eludes to my point anyway, bench him.

We should be playing 4-3-3. Playing a deeper role with licence to push forward (like Lampard previously) will give him more space to operate in but not constrain his attacking talent in the final third like the pivot would.

The same would apply to Ramires.

Then a more defensive minded and disciplined defender alingside those 2 to bulk up the midfield and provide them with protection should be the way forward for us.

This would also give Mata and Hazard more space higher up the pitch to float around in.

1. Do you know his age?

2. Do you know what adapt means? And do you realize that doesnt happen over one night?

3. Oscar has had his moments of brilliance. You see it every now and then. Just look at the Juventus game. He was massive. You can also see that he has HUGE potential by the way he moves with the ball, his technique and whatnot.

What people like you need to realize is that he is still YOUNG and will develop even more. He's not a finished product. Nor is Hazard for instance. Get that.

Ok, he hasn't been amazing in his first season in the prem... Very few do and he spends most of the time playing in a position which isn't his. He is a No.10 or would be very suited to have that lampard role that he used to dominate in a 4-3-3.

Something like

-----------Mikel

Rambo

------------------Oscar

He would be able to dictate the play a bit more. He is still very young and i do not regret us buying him in the slightest.

I didn't say I regretted buying him I said his style is more suited to serie a, again that's just my opinion though!

And also if your expecting from me 'omgz he shud b amazeballs every match' your wrong, I feel he hasn't progressed since he's been here, yes another system but he has also played in his position, albeit swapping with other midfielders as the game goes on, he has mikel syndrome at the moment, simple passes sideways, nothing positive in an English game NOT a CL game, he was largely brilliant then.

The call up has raised a flag.....Mainly with the inclusion of Ronaldinho and Hernanes.

If Felipao tries to create a repeat of 2002 then surely wont Ronaldinho(Considering he does not go crazy) and Hernanes seem likely to take on the central role? I dont see Oscar being good enough on the wings to warrant a starting spot under new management.

at the moment no but the WC in in 1,5 years

Ehhhh.....to be perfectly honest I dont see it.

I see Oscar as the #10 only for Mano's failed stint as manager. He might be it in 2018, but I see Felipao utilizing Hernanes +Ronaldinho/Kaka/Willian in the middle. A utility attacking midfielder along side a pure passer to get the ball up to Hulk,Neymar, and Fred/Fabuloso

Oscar will have to improve significantly if he wants to play any major role for Brazil in the WC

Willian is just much better than him at the moment, and if he continues his current form he should be a shoe in for the #10

but that's just me

That must be just you really, because Willian is not a #10.

I like when I see two people discussing what they dont know...

hahah Ronaldinho is a joke at 34 yo... heck I reckon he was never as good as ppl believed he was, but for Brazil he has always flopped big time. The fact that ppl expect him to deliver now at 34 playing in brazil, a weaker league, is just crazy.

Just remember Oscar was just as dominant at 20 in brazil as Ronaldinho is now. Actually Oscar did very well in Libertadores too.

If Ronaldinho raises a red flag it is for Brazil, not Oscar.

Ppl here have to put things into perspective: Chelsea did not sign Oscar expecting him to dominate the league at 21 in his first season in another country.

He's doing fine--let him play!
