nadavTKL 1,787
You mean Lampard doesn't start from deep spreading the ball around the pitch then bombing forward assisting and scoring lots of goals!? You mean to say that isn't how Oscar has been playing for Brazil prior and throughout this Olympics?. The similarities between Lampard and Oscar are more than obvious but if truth be told Oscar has more gifted technical ability so there is a huge chance Lampard will be phased out for Oscar to fulfill his role within the Celsea team but then again RDM could have different plans entirely. .Look at you forgetting about one little thing... this defense thing. Thats what i mean by "Delusions". And when you and some others will say: "But we will control the ball more so it will be fine, like Barca does", i'll say "Fantasize". So lets skip it and wait for the season to begin and you to complain about stuff that you thought could happen but didnt because some people actually know football. Oscar is definitely an attack minded player who can build from deep there is no doubt of that and i totally understand that your saying if we are to put him next to Mikel then we would be risking the strength of our central midfield. It's just hard to think that if we was to play Oscar behind Torres in the CAM role then what would this mean for Mata. I really don't like Mata on the wing i think he lacks pace and strength to be an effective winger in the premiership. It will be tricky for RDM to decide on how he is going to integrate all of the precocious talent at his disposal although it is very exciting at the same time too. My brain can't handle it, It just forces my face to smile!
Justin_3d 1,140
I really hope Oscar and Mata can make it to the Community Shield, in that case we will stand an very good chance to beat Citeh.Unfortunately, I can see both Brazil and Spain will go very far in the Olympics.Well Spain got eliminated. So we will see how long Mata will take vacation before coming to Chelsea....might not be ready for the game though. If they can get the balance of inter changing into each others positions throughout games it could be potentially devastating to the way opposition clubs are set up to stop us. Like I said before though it wouldn't be impossible for Oscar to slot into Lampard's position at all.
Waterfall 893
Lamps said that if he doesn't start he at least wants to see the team win. We didn't when we played clearly inferior players and his "anger" at AVB was pretty much justified. I doubt he will cry like a baby if a world class talent like Oscar replaces him. Although I think in order to fully accomodate him as a replacement to Lampard, at least at first, we'd have to play him in a 4-3-3, because the deep role is too restrictive for him and has far too much responsibility in defense for a player of his type. In the midfield 3 he could go deep and high, like Frank used to do. If we insist on playing 4-2-3-1, then he has to play in the 3 and Lamps will get his spot back.
