Hutcho 8,443
(i tried to quote someones post but couldnt and now i`ve forgotten who it was (i`m not well sorry for forgetting your name)i got a confession to make tho..regarding imagine your kid coming home asking/saying he supports Tottenham..when i was first starting to go to Chelsea ,Tottenham were a class above Chelsea,at times a division above. they played some real attractive football with the likes of Ossie Ardeiles (sic) Ricky Villa,Glen Hoddle etc..they were winning back to back FA cup finals which was quite a feat at the time.considering Liverpool,Forest and Villa had all won atleast one European Cup sometimes during a stretch of about 5 years. anyway.i vaguely remember it myself but my dad has mentioned it a few times over the years. i done the unthinkable now...i asked my dad if i could be a spurs fan (my ma wanted me to support her old local club Cardiff City.) i was torn into all directions, anyway i asked him and his reply came. "you can support whoever you want but if you want to go to the games, your options are Chelsea and England." i was a bit crestfallen for a while but then a few days later he took me to the bridge for a game against Newcastle and battered them..i think it was 6-1 i`m sure we scored 6 anyway. and that was that. i got back in his good books and he ended up taking me out to spain for my first holiday abroad but more importantly..the 1982 World Cup. i was at the England v France game but then had food poisoning and i stayed with my ma in the hotel as my dad took my sister to the rest of the games instead. i saw the mighty my world footballing hero of the time tho..Platini. (i know he`s an horrible cunt, but that wasnt evident to me at the time. just recall his fantastic player.) he really was at times arguably the best player on the planet in the early and mid 80`s.anyway you guys can kill me with fire now..i`ve just admitted my ol` love was platini and my ol` childhood fondness for the shite hart laners.as for who my family support etc.. on my dads side we all Chelsea..well my dad found out he had a few siblings that he never knew he had a few years back but they are scattered all over the world and mostly in countries where football either aint that big or hasnt been long..e.g New Zealand,Australia,Canada,Canary islands etc...as far as i`ve been able to confirm that i had chelsea in my family was from 1932.when my Grandpa used to go as a lil boy.on my mothers side they are mainly welsh and all either support Cardiff or just watch the Rugby instead.i`ll pass on the kids question,it`s best for everyone really mate sorry. We won't kill you, but you will be subject to a compulsory rehab facility to ensure it is out of your system... Aesthetic Relic 301
Me and my cousin both support Chelsea and that's about it. I don't have any kids as of yet, but when I do I'll make damn sure they support Chelsea. My Niece wants a Manure shirt as her "friends" like them. Hell will freeze over before she'll have one of those rags on her back and I've told my sister as much. Buy her one and I'll disown the pair of you
Ollie 4,400
If any of my kids (when/if i decide to have them) wear an Arsenal shirt or any other scum, they will be dis-owned.

dave30 728
Only reason i support Chels is because of my Dad. God willing i have children i'll MAKE them support their local team. Its no fun supporting a club that's not your local one.
Billy. 2,742
all my family are Chelsea apart from one cousin who like Man U. grew up in Battersea just near Chelsea bridge so they are as good as my local team
Gary Reid 25
You're right about the local team thing. I've supported the team that were at the bottom of yhe street where I grew up for near thirty years now, even played for them when I was a younger man for a season. I still make the trip to the other side of Belfast for every home game. My wee lad supports them too but I expect to loose him to His local club in a few years, Linfield. If you're intersted in the two extremes a supporter can go to look up Wilgar Park, Belfast or Dundela FC to see the gulf between watching three or four games a season at the Bridge and every other Saturday at Wilgar. It's a special memory for kids going to the match with thier da, it's good for the relationship between a parent and the child supporting the same team
James 5,332
OMG what would you do if your kid came home and said:"Dad i have something to tell you.....I am a tottenham fan."I think that would be just cause for getting a different kid. Would have no option but to put the kid in a home. That's what my old man said to me if I didn't support Chelsea
OReillyD36 311
I was the only one in my family but over the last few years my mother has shown a significant interest.

Jype 6,398
My parents aren't really into football at all and my brother supports Manchester United. Family aside, most of my friends support Liverpool so you can only imagine how much fun it's been to be trolling them all recently. If I ever have kids I will force them to be Chelsea fans or else I won't recognize them to be my blood. At the moment the last thing I would want is to have children though. Maybe in ten years or so I will think differently but certainly not now.

BlueLion. 21,491
My Dad is the biggest Chelsea fan I know. My Uncle is a close second. Go to the games with them often. My best friend used to be a Middlesbrough fan but changed to Chelsea in 2007 after me and my Dad started taking him to the Bridge. Now I love him even more haha! Also, my kids will support Chelsea. They will have no choice.

Wilson 358
I'm 23 and was the first in my family to support Chelsea. My younger brother who is 10 supports them (he lives with me) and my 15 year old bro who lives with my Dad are both Celtic fans lol. My Mum and aunts are not big fans but they will back Chelsea to win . Also, whenever I get with a girl I tell her she will be supporting Chelsea haha. If I have kids, I will ofcourse raise them as Chelsea fans .
