Ronaldo is the trained product, but Messi is raw God given talent.

If Hazard has the latter, we wouldn't have been playing in the Europa League last season. He needs to PRACTICE to reach the level of Messi or Ronaldo.

No question of his skills. And he couldn't have asked for a better coach.

Maybe in terms of man-management, but man-management can only take you so far. Hazard could have asked for a better coach when it comes to setting up a team to make better use of his ability.

Just remembered that the physio from our national team was on a tv show last year and was talking about Hazard's recovery for the international games,(injury at the end of last season.)

He said that even though Hazard's a bit of a joker, people would be suprised about how hard Hazard can work and how motivated he was to get fit again.

I think this Ashton guy is just making assumptions based off of Hazard's laid-back character. If Hazard was actually showing a lack of commitment do you really think Mourinho would let it slide and keep playing him every game ?

Not saying Hazard doesn't need to be pushed, he does but that doesn't mean he lacks commitment.

Also if Hazard actually lacked commitment why is it then that he's improved his defensive game immensely. There would be no way he could have done that if he wasn't committed to improve himself.

The problem with Hazards performances is psychological. players who are very creative and talented need to be in a specific state of mind where top performance and creative ideas come effortlessly and work is fun. It has something to do with the exact right amount of stress and beeing whats called "in the zone". It's up to Mourinho to get him in this state of mind. Or the should get a talented psychologist.

True!!

It is called flow and the psychologist that studied is Csikszentmihalyi . However, to have 'flow, you need autonomy in your game and have a shitload of fun in the group. Think Suarez now, he is in what is called 'flow'.

Nah, I think Mourinho should just try and develop a better team which can help it's creative players to be more decisive.

Do you remember back in the 90's when Eendracht Aalst managed to qualify for uefa cup i think it was?

well, i knew their psychologist personally. He was the one who got De Bilde to perform the way he did back then. Anyway, i used to box at that time so he proposed to try some stuff with me. Basically he had a technique to program peoples subconsious for consistent top performances. The results were incrdible to me. I could go on for hours without effort, without ever having to think about my next move. ironically the way to get the best performace is not to play for result but just for the joy of making your every move the best it can be.

Anyway he asked for a raise at Eendracht and they refused, so he quit and a year later they were shit again.

That is true! You need guys to have a fixed mindset on enjoyment and a learning orientation (eg: not make X passes to the striker, but find x new ways to serve the striker. Then train on that! The results in research are awesome! ). Dortmund, Ajax, Genk, .... do it in the youth system, winning is secondary.

As Hazard listens to his manager’s words read back to him, he is candid in his response. ‘There are times when I disappear out of the match, so I do want to be as consistent as possible.

But what he said at Sunderland, that’s the sort of comment I want to hear more and more often, every weekend.

‘I do have matches where it’s really good and some where it’s not so good. So I’m hoping to improve my work-rate, work really hard on that and get more consistency.

He’s a manager that demands a lot both in defence and in attack.’

This is for haters.
