Eden Hazard

The more I have chance to think about this whole saga, the stronger my opinion - from a short term point of view, it's a huge fuck up likely losing one of our best and most creative players for a handful of important games. However from a long term point of view, I can't help but think this may benefit us -

1. The biggest benefit may well be Hazard himself. He has struck me as a big character but I think has been allowed himself time to settle into the club and adapt to a new culture/country. I feel that his episode will not only gather him a much stronger level of support from our own supporters, but his mentality will be to let his football do the talking. Rather than hide away, he strikes me as the type of person who will thrive within the environment and more concentrated public eye that has been created. We've seen the potential in spurts, but I believe we'll soon see the real Hazard.

2. With Hazard and Moses out, Marin is likely to get a few games now. From what I've seen so far, I've not really been impressed, and he has seemingly been overlooked by two managers this season so far. However a run of games may give everybody a greater idea of what he can bring to us. It could help us guage if he has a future at the club beyond this season. At worst it will hopefully give Marin more confidence to at least be a more effective squad player for the rest of this season.

3. If we are going to continue winning games in his absence, it requires someone else besides Mata to step up and help the creative side of our game. Oscar has been quiet recently. He seems to have been the fall guy with Benitez looking for more solid over spectacular within his team. Oscar's confidence has seemed to be dented as he's been in and out of the team and when he has played, he seems to have played within himself with Mata and Hazard around him. It's a chance for him to step up.

Obviously I would much prefer Hazard to not be facing up to a ban, but we have to try and take some positives out of the situation!

'I think any manager, player, coach would be happy if their ball boy did that.' Brendan Rodgers.

Idiot.

This is the same guy who said he'd pay 'many more millions' on Joe Allen.... who cost him 15 FUCKING MILLION..... fucking idiot he is.

Bets if anyone elses player gets sent off they'd be raging, no doubt. Hazard will now be seen as public enemy number one for some wee cunt jumping on a ball thinking hes going to be 'famous' then gets kicked apparently and starts crying hahahahhaa, wee gimp.

I'm starting to get worried about Edens career in England... The way he has been portayed in the media, with all the mistranslations, led to an image of a player with a big ego who came to the highest bidder, yet when you actually hear him speak withouten needing a translator he always come across as a guy who just wants to become the best he can be for his club and his country...

And now this happens.. Its quite desgusting how the press are willing to destroy a persons image to get a few extra clicks, and how the FA in just take every opportunity to attack anyone that doesnt play for United when public opinion allows it.

If he gets convicted by the FA, in my opinion he really should try to keep his stay in the Uk as short as possible, as this will haunt him for the rest of his career in the Premier league and i cant see somthing like this taking the same proportions in the Spanish, Iialian or German league..

Dont get me wrong i love watching Chelsea with or without Eden, but i dont think playing in a climate like this is good for him..

It will pass.

Sorry if it was already discussed here but I read in a Belgian paper that the dressing room was very harsh for Hazard after the game. Anybody knows this to be true? I can imagine it to be possible in a scenario where other Chelsea were still believing Hazard really kicked the boy badly. The picture of Demba Ba checking on the boy also sends a message I do not like.

Whatever happened right after the game, players like Terry and Lampard will be of utmost importance to help Hazard deal with it. I mean there's been some bad press with him in Belgium after the hilarious hamburger incident but that cannot be compared with the pile of shit that was thrown at him now. The club and players must really be there for him now.

True about Hazard getting a rest if he gets a 5 game ban but with Moses being in Africa, it's not the best time. Could be a golden chance for Marko though, he needs to prove himself. So harsh though, i mean a 5 game ban for that? He barely touched the prick and yeah Savage was right, wtf is a 17 year old being a ball boy for? I really do hope his life is a nightmare from now on. Liked what Savage said though, spot on lol.
