Eden Hazard

The club is an absolute shambles at the moment with everything that's going on. Do you think he thinks he deserves to be at a club like this?

What an horrible way to look at the situation. Have you ever thought about that maybe he's one of the reasons we are in this mess? Same goes for every player at the club. He has played the most minutes from our attackers and that's what he was after when he got his transfers. Now it's time to step it up and show some consistency with the whole team in order to get our season back on track.

Whenever someone says that they think Hazards will move to Real Madrid or whatever cock club they can think of I snap the neck of a cute little kitten. So let's just say that the RSPCA have me blacklisted.

If it's said for Hazard it may as well be said for Oscar, Mata, Azpilicueta, Luiz, De Bruyne, Courtois, et al.

Why is it only Hazard people carry on about leaving? Why don't they get paranoid about Oscar leaving?

Because Oscar may have a good shot on fifa but he damn sure cant bend it in the back of the net like Sultan Hazard.

Ps; belgen ik ouwehoer met jullie niet eng doen.

A nr 10 gets on the ball a lot more often then a winger. Dribbling in tight spaces wouldn't be a problem with his close ball control, first touch, low centre of gravity and excellent acceleration. He's built for playing in tight spaces.

1 thing he needs to have to be great at the nr 10 spot is a deep lying playmaker playing behind him to take care of the distribution and to find him in those tight spaces.

I do believe his best position is the nr 10 spot. At Lille they changed their shape to 4-2-3-1 and put him behind the striker with a target man. in 5 games he scores 5 times and assisted 5 times.

Aaah finally a post with actual content. Thanks for that and: good point you made! Still, I agree with belgiannutt because I followed him at Lille as well. He really performed as a 10 there. His playing style there actually kind of illustrates your point: he simply moves a lot around the pitch, even as a 10. He did that there as well. Here, the combo Mata/Hazard taking turns on the 10 with a lot of movement is -in my eyes- best for both of them. They do bring out the best in themselves when playing closely aligned.

It's one thing playing the No.10 role in France and another in England. The nature of how games goes in both league can dictate which position a player is best suited in. Not saying you guys are wrong or anything considering Hazard is nowhere near a finished article yet but right now, I think his abilities is best used when playing out wide.

Guess players like Luiz, Mata, Cahill, Ramires etc would want to leave too given the amount of mess they have encountered since joining us....

Hazard was only ever going to be a short-term signing anyway. Regardless of success here, he strikes me as the sort of guy who wants to play for the very best, just like CR7. When we signed him I could only see him staying here for 2-3 years, using the Chelsea experience as a springboard, before moving to one of Europe's truly big clubs; ie. Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern, Juventus, etc.

I truly consider us as one of Europe's top clubs. Even if our history isn't as successful as the clubs mentioned above, our present and future stands alongside the Giants. Eden Hazard joined us because we were and still are Champions of Europe. He came here because he has a vision that we will win more trophies amongst the Elite and he want's to be a part of that.

Real Madrid and Barcelona maybe....but when did Bayern and Juventus become more attractive options for big players than us???

I also think that's massively unfair on him. He's actually surprised me with how little of a diva he's been. He's reacted well to Benitez wanting him to defend more and he's not sulked when he's been taken off. There's enough potential at this club to keep any young star around for a long time.

Don't kid yourself. Juventus, Bayern, Milan, United, Real, Barcelona etc., will always be bigger clubs than Chelsea FC historically. Presently, those teams (bar Milan) are all more successful than us as well. Ergo, they are bigger clubs right now, as well.

You are very much speaking 'right now' though, i.e under Rafa and our current crop/form. Serie A needs to get back to what it used to be if Juve was to try and sign a top player from a club owned by Roman Abramovich in the PL. Robben was an anomaly.. and somewhat justifiable from our end (his injury record etc).

Oh definitely. At this moment in time, you would be an idiot to disagree, I think. Juve, Bayern, Real and Barcelona are stronger teams, that is for sure. United are historically one of, if not the biggest club in world football, and you can say that with teams like Dortmund emerging as well, we are behind them too. We are obviously a big club but even in spite of last season's heroics, I don't think we're the team that we were. The same applies for English football in general, I would say. On a historical scope, we are a relatively new kid on the block, especially in comparison to the millions of PSG and Manchester City, for instance. The really big clubs are the absolute top level. At present, under the Fat Spanish Waiter, I think we're a lot further behind them than we would like to admit.
