I will never understand why some people claimed Matic was the main reason we won last season's title. He played very well until January, but so were Fabregas, Oscar and Costa as well. Hazard on the other hand carried us all season, especially from New Year on when we started to play bad again.

I hope he will reach the heights of last season again, if he plays like tonight he is very capable to do it.

You've answered your own question: hazard carried the team because the team needed carrying once matic form dipped.

do you remember the performances while hazard did the carrying?

I happen to have more faith in players who have, in the past performed at a high level consistently.

Hazard played a very well first half season in our 14/15 campaign, but as I said Matic and others played very well too, so it wasn't that obvious for people to see how good Hazard actually played. Afterwards the form of our other star players dipped, but Hazard remained on good form and scored many important goals to push us over the finish line in our title 'race'.

I did not say hazard performance dropped, but the teams performance did.

this season hazard form dropped the most, compared to himself.
