Popular Post! The Skipper 20,609 Posted November 6, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted November 6, 2014 Haha, I remember when we first signed him and after a few months in I said that he really needs to work on his finishing and the '20 goals in Ligue 1 suggests different' talk came up. Glad people are starting to see that now it is something he has to explicitly work on.3 main things Eden needs to continue to work on and he'll legitimately move up a level and be universally considered as one of the best players out there (or best in the BPL at least):Finishing Killer instinct Off the ball movementThe latter two are developing along nicely - no longer does Hazard sit around and wait for things to happen, he actually is finally using his ability to force results which is good to see. Off the ball movement has improved as well; even though he still has some work to do. His finishing however has actually seemed to regress. It's weird. He has the technique and everything, he knows how to dispatch a ball into the bottom corner, top corner, volleys etc. but it seems to be a confidence thing/mental block whenever he does seem to get in front of goal. If Eden works on those three points and gets them to a high level (as said before the latter two are definitely evidently improving)... Boy are we in for a treat. dee25, sureshot, DYC. and 2 others
The Skipper 20,609
I do dream of Reus, but I have a feeling it's not going to happen. And quality wingers are scarce. You know who I would love? Muller. Never happening but that would be amazing.Muller or Reus would be an absolute dream on that right hand side (especially the latter). We must do everything in our power to try and get Reus this summer, hopefully Mourinho and the board are looking into it.
Jase 43,479
As much as Hazard has been amazing for us, I'm starting to take issues with his low, non-powerful and placement shots. Getting annoyed by it and he's making it easy as well as predictable for goalkeepers to save his shots. That probably also includes his penalties. It's all good when the goalkeepers move early enough for him to put the ball the other way but on the other hand, his propensity to do that will only make it easy for GKs to save them when they wise up to his penalty taking style. The penalty against Maribor earlier is arguably an example of that.
Gilvorak 3,734
Remember Lampard in 09/10? Just 6 goals in his first 28 games and that ended up being his highest scoring season in his career (27 goals). Lets hope for something similar with Eden. mediator, ZOS and Bir_CFC

The situation you mentioned above was more of Lampard starting the season slowly in regards to his form, as opposed to having dodgy finishing. johnnythefirst 1,076
This is why we need reus on the right wing to improve. Us hoping on willian /schurlle to come good is beginning to look naive. The distance between Hazard and them are like messi and kalouRemember when Schurrle was incredibly decisive and scored 3 goals at the world cup?People forget quickly. Players have ups and downs. iseah100 and LAB

Never happening but that would be amazing.Muller would actually be an extraordinary signing (although that sounds cheesy haha), love how he plays, hes not a glamourous footballer who beats people for fun like Hazard or plays brilliant passes like Cesc but hes effective, a grafter, can play different positions and the one thing that impresses me the most is how he sees the game and finds space where others wouldn't. I can't believe he turned us down after the 2010 World Cup, he would of been a great signing. Pity hes probably gonna be at Bayern for most of his career. iseah100 5,612
Would Mueller be far fetched? With Gotze, Lewa, Shaqiri, Robben and if they get Reus? That'd open some options for us.
Chelsea? 892
maybe thats why he doesnt play close to goal, or in the middle. Oscar is a much better finisher

ChelseaFC12 134
Well he just doesn't shoot or take the chances he creates for himself. If doesn't shoot more I doubt he's going to be scoring goals any time soon. He's just scored I think 1-2 goals this season from open play. That's sad. I remember he missed a crucial pen against City at the Etihad too.Missing a penalty happens from time to time. Hazard being a prime example at the moment. And I disagree that Lampard couldn't finish 'his dinner' in the first half of that season. He just didn't get as many goalscoring chances as he would have liked with Ancelotti playing him as the CAM in his diamond system, which doesn't suit him at all in general. When we went back to a 4-3-3, the goals started to flow in non-stop.

Popular Post! Footballover 222 Posted November 6, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted November 6, 2014 What a player he is becoming, I wish he had scored his chances against United and Maribor to mark off his amazing form recently. What I am really happy about is that he is getting in those areas, not only cutting through the left flank like last season but coming in from left, right or middle of the park and being right on the edge of the 18 yard box. These are almost the areas where Messi is playing, (whereas Ronaldo plays almost like a centre forward so I'm not going to compare Hazard to him), but my point is that these are the areas where you can score from and just take a look at Messi's goals yesterday, Hazard should have scored two for us as well. And this is what is still dividing the Belgian from the likes of Messi and Ronaldo, because his overall form is undoubtedly up there. He could and should score more goals and he needs to work on that aspect of the game if he really wants to fulfill his ambitions of which he likes to discuss in his interviews. The one big difference from which Eden is suffering is the fact that the team doesn't quite play on him like Barcelona and Real play for Messi and Ronaldo respectively. I believe that will change with time and we can see slight signs of this. Yesterday everyone were looking for Hazard and he was all over the pitch.Long story short - Hazard is becoming a more mature player IMO, a hungrier professional and he can and should score more. Time will tell if he can get up there with the best but I personally, with my optimistic type of nature, believe he can. He is already a world class and our best player (something many of us can agree about), not an easy achievement to accomplish when you are playing in a star packed team like ours. A goal vs. Liverpool on Saturday and I will shut up Viper22, sureshot, commilin and 6 others
