The only place to be 11,313
sturridge deserves the YPOTY though. He has better productivity/stats and impact than arguably every nominee for the category and that's despite the injuries he's battled with all season. There's a good case for both players, but of course you immediately discount the Chelsea player because....well, you're you.Hazard has been the most creative player on a team that lacks a decent striker, yet he's carried the team at times and shown up when we've needed him. It's a toss up between the two but there's no doubt that Eden would be an exceedingly worthy winner. kellzfresh, Beigl and Stingray
Madmax 9,219
Hazard should be getting the Young POtY at least but you just know they'll hand it to Sturridge, with Suarez picking up POtY.How Silva, Coleman and Azpilicueta didn't make the shortlist amazes me. Special Juan 28,141
Hazard should win that for me, but I agree there is a case for Sturridge he has been really good. The only place to be

He has better productivity/stats and impact than arguably every nominee for the category and that's despite the injuries he's battled with all season. He's also at least two years older than the oldest nominee and 5 years older than the others. He was born in 1989, that means he's 25 years old. To put that into perspective that's one year younger than Juan Mata, Costa, Lewandowski etc. That's such an unfair advantage. The cutoff for that award really should be 23. Eden2020

I find it ridiculous that proven world class players bought on massive transfer fees such as Hazard are even nominated for an award that in my opinion should only be given to a player who's made his breakthrough to the highest level in the last year or two. You know, players like Shaw, Barkley etc. kellzfresh, Thendo, Bir_CFC and 1 other
dee25 1,044
He was 23 when the season started and is now 24. He turned 24 in 1st of September meaning he was 23 for only a few weeks in the season. You have players like Sterling and Shaw competing against a player that's five years older than them. If he's producing better stats/performances than them it's because he should be as he's significantly older.

duo11bluecl 207
No offense but if he isn't fully fit no point playing him. We have seen Shrek missing like 2 clear cut chances for MU 2 weeks ago against Bayern because of a toe injury which really never fully recovered. That and the intensity of Atletico Hazard would not be able to keep up and will most likely end up ineffective anyway. IF he isn't at 80%+, no point playing him or even put on the bench. Even if we go behind on Tue it is not like we are gonna go all out to get equaliser by any mean. Just hope he is back for next week against Pool

MrExcalibur100 7,124
Just heard the news about his injury. Fucking disaster. Our season could unravel before our eyes if we don't have Eden for the first leg against Atleti and if he isn't fit for the Liverpool game. haranr 485
Hmm not really.. Sturridge has a case for the PFA young player of the year. Not really, Since lasy year Van Persie scored more than Bale but still Bale got it. Why??? Because he was a better and more exciting player. Hazard is world-class, sturridge isn't quite there yet. Coop
haranr 485
Anyone who thinks Sturridge deserves the award more than Hazard, has just forgotten the amazing 3 months he had.
BleedsBlue 1,549
We need a fully fit Hazard for the Liverpool game. The 1st leg we may manage without him.
MrExcalibur100 7,124
Anyone who thinks Sturridge deserves the award more than Hazard, has just forgotten the amazing 3 months he had.Hazard is a much better player and has single-handedly carried our attack this season but don't be surprised if Sturridge wins that award. Consider that it's been given to foreign players only 3 times and Kyle Walker won it ahead of fucking Sergio Aguero in 2011. It's a bit of a farce. Unlike the main one, the young player award is ridiculously biased in favour of English players. Hazard has no chance. Plus he plays for Chelsea, so no chance. More importantly,...... he's fit enough to play some minutes in Madrid so he can be fit and sharp at Merseyside. His potential absence has been ridiculously underrated here. Popular Post! Henrique 9,133 Posted April 19, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted April 19, 2014 I dont think he "saved our arses this seasons" because we will probably end up in 3th position, just like last season, but he is the reason why we fooled ourselves until at this point of the season, thinking we could win it. If not for his magic in some game we would be fighting Arsenal and Everton for 3rd and 4th position. duo11bluecl, kellzfresh, MAF and 3 others
