MrExcalibur100 7,124
Penalty inflation Assists = set-piece inflation. That's why a guy like Gerrard is up there despite having virtually no assists from open play. But really, the point is a goal is a goal and an assist is an assist. :tophat: MrBlueGuy
LAB 1,030
Delighted. Worst possible scenario is that we are getting filthy f*cking rich with Madrid's money. But Eden wants to stay so that's even better :blue scalf: sdrcfc

mannyfreshh 164
Great player and a joy to watch.. Hopefully he can bring us 2 titles and some English cups before he moves to Madrid. Would be nice if we could win another champions league, and he be a part of the winning team also. I see him being with us another 2-3 years before moving on to his next destination. RoyalBlues 4,050
If he is happy here, actually I don't see any reason he would be happier in Real Madrid. If he bring us to a lot of titles and perform extremely well, I could see we will offer him a better contract again than this. Money aside then, what will he trying to achieve in Spain actually? Bored to win PL, FA cup and COC, so that he suddenly want to win La Liga and Copa Del Rey? sdrcfc and mannyfreshh
Ainsley Harriott 2,732
Fantastic news. Not only from a footballing standpoint, but from a business standpoint. If he ever wants to leave (although the Real Madrid talk is exaggerated - what's with the pessimism?), we're in a much better position to negotiate. About the Everton game, I thought he was terrific. Held the ball up fantasticly, tried some risky passes which he doesn't always do, attempted some shots... The thing with this guy is that he tries really hard but a lot of time he doesn't look like he's breaking a sweat. Reminds of Iniesta in some ways. Great talents do that, I guess... Don't also forget that moving from Spurs to Real is a pretty huge step (Bale)Depends on where we come in CL I guess, but Chelsea to Real would not be a great step forward... unless he finally gets sick of getting hacked. Muzchap 8,966
"Hazard has no end product" - Jealous opposition fansJust imagine those stats at the end of next season - with Costa getting on the end of most of his chances, those were from the dark days of TORRES and BA... That is what I saw from skysports yesterday. Well that was from open play so really that stat should say he is first. dUMB

BlueLyon 9,359
Truly he can become our legend if he stays at least until 2020. What a player. Once our team plays sometime together and Oscar, hazard, azpi, matic, courtois, zouma reach prime, we will be even better.I have serious interest how good will we look if we keep Mou and Hazard, oscar etc when they will be around age 27/28. Hope we dont change team much now on, just long term Terry and Iva replacements when time comes and if Cuadrado doesnt work. Otherway we are pretty much set. Oh and if there is chance to get Pogba.
