Heck I can't even think of any DMs in the world right now as monstrous as him and with the ability to pick a pass forward too. Maybe Martinez but he hasn't been playing DM often for Bayern under Pep has he? Hazard is definitely the top dog on the LW in the league too. However, I think their bias shows when practically all of them choose De gea over Courtois. Courtois deals with different situations and he defuses any potential danger with ease which others may not really appreciate. However in terms of pure quality I think Courtois is a level above any other keeper besides Cech and Neuer. Courtois is the better one, but De Gea has been outstanding for their team, so it's logical that they support their own goalkeeper. Courtois clears the danger before it had a chance to come up, De Gea lets the danger become big and then sometimes has a world class reflex that clears it and sometimes it becomes a non stoppable shot. Some dirty bastards have been giving him hard time, constantly taking him down and pullig his shirt, yet the refs have not been really helping him. Hats off that he always tries to stay on but I really feel he should be more protected, similarly to Ronaldo when Fergie was publicly and clearly saying so. It's becoming an issue, the lad is magic, hes improved tons, but he needs to shoot instead of slowing play down and doing too much he even shows his frustration after and Gary nev said it in commentary, needs to shoot and score more to be in that world class bracket. He might just reach 20 if he stays injury free, especially considering he usually performs better in the second half of the season. People on here complaining he should score more, but he's on track to maybe score 20 and we can't really ask more from an AM right?Our best man today, again. Him and Fabregas were great today. Matic had a rare off-day, but I can easily forgive him. Considering alternate premier league, this was a par 1 game and we got that one point. City played a par 3 game and drew! I think it's sad that you can't just be an amazing player anymore and be regarded world class, without scoring 30-40 goals a season. This new generation of fans/pundits have developed a distorted view of the game where one has to be an absolute goal machine to even be considered one of the best.It's not even like he doesn't score goals, if he continues like this (and gets a bit mor pens ) he'll have 20 goals which is not too shabby for a wide player to be fucking honest.
