yeah torres isnt weak, studge is pretty strong/fast/physical plus mikel/lamps in the mid are always rocks we dont need rugby sized athletes lol, our back 4 aside from ash are all big men too, I am quite content with this team, i mean im indifferent to getting anymore signings

I'm pretty confident with this squad being much better than last season's, but do we honestly think we've improved enough to make up 25 points or whatever it was? There's still work to be done in terms of signings. 2-3 more additions and 2-3 more departures, hopefully.

Just can't imagine we'll be seeing Malouda in a blue shirt come the season opener. He's one who must go. Yossi and possibly Essien too.

As much as I'd love this, I just don't think it's likely at all. We're absolutely loaded in midfield, and with Oscar seeming likely, don't see how he'd get much if any game time. Lamps, Meireles, Romeu, Mikel, Ramires, and maybe Oscar. Who's he going to displace?

Too much hype about him. Last season he score 21 goals for Porto, but 9 from pen's and 2 from FK's. 21 - 11 its only 10 goals from game. He is not worth that reported 40m pounds.

Plus if board think he can be back-up striker - imo it's bad idea.

He played better with Falcao, after columbian left, Porto couldnt find proper replacement and Hulk was their main striker, winger, assistant,...

Yes i know, but that season with Falcao in squad and AVB on the bench was simply amazing, and I think it was probably the best season in his life. That woulnd happen again.

I don't like Schurrle idea [just give Sturridge new contract], maybe Willian? Price around 21~m, if not him, who?

My dream is James Rodriguez from Porto, if we want spend big on Porto player - he is the best choice. Hulk deliver goal [goal or assist] for team every 95 minutes, young James do it every 90 minutes.

I am still not convinced with Torres but it is evident that the club has decided to give him 1 more season to prove what he can do. We also have Sturridge and Lukaku competing for striker position and I can't see any Drogba replacements coming in at the moment.

At the moment, our right wing doesn't have a player which prefers to play there. Malouda is on the exit doors, Marin will needs time to adapt and hasn't been really impressive at Werder for some time while Mata and Hazard will occupy the left and central attacking positions. KDB may go out on loan, but even if he stays, he prefers to play in the middle and on the left. From here, you can see that we could really use a player who can cause havoc on the right wing and for the reasons I wrote couple of posts back, Hulk is the best player for that.

He is expensive, but we are rich and the transfer is dragging on since the club is not letting Porto milk us anymore while they are playing hardball. Remember what happened when we signed David Luiz. At a certain point it looked we turned away and negotiations broke down, but in the end Benfica had to lower their price and we signed him.

returning back to our argument, if we our rich does it mean we simply throw away the money? i am not saying hulk will be useless but not worth it. even 30m is not worth it. plus we need to give torres a leeway. hulk will threaten him whereas sturridge and lukaku will never be given the role of no.1 striker. we let drogba go for this reason (that is what i feel) and bringing hulk would just be stupid. as for right wing we might not have a true right winger but we have got a number of options, rambo, marin,benayoun/malouda, and whhile every1 might forget it but also kakuta.

I'm really thinking the board have been working on a deal for Hulk. Oscar can't be the biggest since Hazard was singed also, they're both big but in economic terms Hulk's valuation seem's to fit the bill.

Two hours ago Lalkovic tweeted "Changed england for 37 degreess portugal hello !!! Haha" so I guess it's somewhat confirmed already that he has gone to Portugal. No info on the club and whether or not it's a permanent deal or a loan. However, I'm having a very hard time believing that all this is somehow related to a deal for Hulk, but stranger things have happened I suppose.
