3 or 4 different people quoting the telegraph on twitter as I said but I can't see it anywhere.

It's here mate, at the bottom of the page.

Oddly enough it says that Schurrle to us would mean Sturridge out on loan, which makes even less sense than us selling him...

great question. Fella on twitter announced it (que mass outcry) but I can't find it. Asked for confirmation

Bayer Leverkusen striker Andre Schurrle looks set to join before the transfer window closes at 11pm on Friday in a deal approaching £20 million, a move that might even see Daniel Sturridge allowed to move out on loan. Yossi Benayoun and Florent Malouda are, though, likelier to move on.

The fuck? Sturridge sure as hell is not going on loan, so I wouldn't read much into the whole Schurrle thing either.

It's being mentioned right down there under a different news. No wonder can't find the link.

EDIT: BAH, beaten by Slam Dunk and Pr22(again!).

that'll be it but didn't leverkusen just get rid of a striker today? What's the likelihood of them selling another

We have only 2 strikers, so if we sign a winger, we might even let one of them on loan.

Seems legit. :halo:

I see Schurrle more as a striker than as a winger. But still, that would make absolutely no sense and we are yet to hear news about Danny's contract situation. One or two years left? If only one, then sending a player like that on loan would make even less sense. Not buying any of that bullshit as of yet.

Guardian also jumping on the 'Sturridge on loan if Schurrle signs' bandwagon. How fucking stupid are those journalists?

He doesn't even look good in those Youtube compilations which usually make anyone look like Messi/Zidane/Maldini/Cech In His Prime :(

Why would we go for him?! Seriously. I'm so confused.

If his arrival will cost us 20mio+ and departure of Sturridge, all I say fuck off! Also even Danny stays, I likely wait until winter or next summer, add another 20mio and bring in some top striker ala Falcao or Cavani. Waste of money for this guy sorry. If we look for 3rd choice its Remy, if we look for top profile player its either Falcao, Cavani or someone.
