David Luiz

It's simple, Luiz needs Terry next to him to perform his best.

If that's true then Luiz is a terrible defender. Relying on other defenders to make him look good. The whole world can see Luiz is a bad defender. Time to stop with your (Chelsea fans in General) delusions.

Rafa will put him in place. Clowning around is over.

I hope so but Ancelotti, AVB, and RDM all couldn't get Luiz to behave long-term. He had brief periods of greatness followed by relapses into schoolyard football. I don't think any manager says to him "Hey David, how about you just kick the ball long to the other team 2, 3 times a game. Then, sort of wander around the midfield aimlessly for a while and then lose concentration." It's up to Luiz to straighten himself out at this point.

He's made a lot of mistakes recently but doesn't deserve this. Also I don't know if you get this, but the anti Luiz avatar is also anti Chelsea. You should be ashamed of yourself.

Very Childish comment. Chelsea always come before Luiz. David Luiz arrived at Chelsea in 2011. Chelsea FC was formed in 1905. Many many defenders before 2011 had served Chelsea FC far better than David Luiz has done and/or been doing. He is 25 years old. By this time he should have the maturity that playing for any club (does not matter big or small) means a lot and you in no circumstances can defend so irresponsibly in so many matches. He is quite clearly the weakest link in our squad and directly responsible for our bad results.

You have tried to insult me. But I will in return just say that love CFC for sake of CFC, NOT for D.Luiz or F. Torres.

And yes! I am not an anti-Luiz fan. I hope that he stops taking the duty of defending lightly and helps CFC.

I don't want to wait 4 or 5 seasons to wait until Luiz is in his 'prime years'. We don't have time for that. We can't have 4-5 seasons of Luiz's awful mistakes.

The "mistakes" will significantly reduce this season over time, he's just going through a rough patch like any other player does.

Then is that true of Cahill aswell? because he looks just as crap when those two play together, if not worse.

The United league match at home, amoungst others.

LOL, this is typical Luiz fanboy-ism. Those who can't stand the truth being spoken about Luiz so they try to bring down Cahill to his level. Cahill has made mistakes and has been the fault for a few goals here and there but that is dwarfed by Luiz's incompetence as a defender. Its almost like he's involved in some way or another in everything that goes wrong in the defense. Hopefully Benitez can fix that.

If you look back at my comments on other thread's i have said Luiz has been terrible this last month and if Alex was still here he would probably have been dropped by now but to say Cahill has been any if that much better is a joke infact most of the season he has been below par, although he scored the equalizer in that match his performance against Reading i get still get nightmares from.

The United match is the prime example, despite marking thin air for the second goal and getting embarrassingly turned by RVP which led to Ivan's red card, all the blame was shifted on Luiz as usual, the Athletico match is another example, both were terrible but who got the blame while the other was wrapped up in cotton wool?

Luiz and Cahill is an awful partnership, the worst i have seen in 18 years of following this club, it's not coincidence both have lost form since the International break where they have been playing together non stop, how many outright awful games have either had with Terry? (i can think of one for each, Shacktar for Luiz and Reading for Cahill) They both have the tendency to ruin good games with a brain fart but both are fine with Terry just absolute tosh with each other.
