Oh I don`t hate Mourinho for selling Luiz at all 50m is a huge sum of money, what I dislike is how he left our club so that he could join the club he really wanted if he was going to come back to the PL. It was no secret we were his second choice and he only took the job until his Manchester spot became available. He had us near the bottom 1 point above relegation, you can`t justify that with a team that less than few months before walked the league.

that's why both are only good players, not even great.

One could argue that Luiz characteristics are rarer especially in CBs, which could give the team an edge, while another may say it Cahill's composure is a better quality.

My take is that they are at about the same level, despite being completely different players - both well below what JT used to be.

Same with every "top" CB. They all make errors but because David is so colorful, outgoing, and such a huge personality he's scrutinized and criticized more than anyone else.

How many times did we see Kompany make stupid errors the last time he was fit for an extended period? So many. Ramos is hugely mistake prone. Thiago Silva is considered one of the two best CB's in the world but makes mistakes.

Gab Marcotti wrote a piece for ESPN this morning about Luiz and summed him up perfectly - When he does well no one remembers. When he does poorly no one forgets. 

Hes a very good player the vast majority of the time and no one says anything. He has a single howler and its front page news.

I think PSG fans laughing to Chelsea even more then vice verse couple of years ago. Antonio Conte is silent, nothing about Luiz. Suppose he just couldn't believe what Chelsea did to him.

What's he going to do, open up his personal YouTube account and share his thoughts on our signings? It's an international break. He's probably not even in England currently.

Crazy how Huth was released from Stoke then was arguably top3 central defender in England. But that's Kante for you. I hope that he makes David look good but I really hope Conte actually makes him good. If both fail then I'm afraid David Luiz cannot be cured.

I'm not a fan of David Luiz but I do think ? he would suit the sweeper role with two centre halves alongside him maybe conte planning to play 3-5-2 formation in the near future

The more this sinks in the happier I am 

we need some passion and fight in the team - not the limp performances of last season

all of our defenders have a mistake in them - as do all other teams defenders - I just have a feeling this time round he will be a little more polished. 

I'm definitely looking forward to him and Zouma in defence - two big crazy characters  

Well done to all involved for rescuing the transfer window - decent signings, decent money - impressed  - I know I have been massively critical - but fair's fair - I was wrong and should have had more belief, I think last season jaded me more than I care to admit! 

Lets keep the pressure up on those Northern Monkeys and if the draw - we could be top after next game  Roll on!!!

I couldn't believe when I read there was a possibility of his return and didn't allow myself to get excited until about 1230 pm last night when they showed him on Chelsea TV in the shirt and my heart skipped a beat. I was so sad when he left, I loved him, was a great player for us and deleted he's back and to hear it was him that pushed for the move and really wanted to come back to Chelsea. I mean what more could anyone want than a player desperate to come back and wear our shirt. I can't wait to see him playing again.
