I hope Essien, Malouda, Meireles, Ferreira follow him.I mean does this guys have any pride at all its pretty obvious neither of them is good enough even for a second choice now, if they are only here to take their sweet wages then fuk off, some of them did alot for Chelsea but the club did 2x more for them so be grateful with what you've had and leave like men.amen.

Well, there it goes

He comes from the Ivory Coast,

Kalou, Kalou,

He Don't do coke like Adrian Mutu, Mutu,

Infront of the Kop,

From the left,

He put the ball on Riise's head,

And that's why we love Salomon Kalou

I've always heard it go:

He comes from the Ivory Coast,

Kalou, Kalou

He doesn't do coke like Mutu, like Mutu

He crossed the ball from the left

It landed right on top of Riise's head

And that's why we love Salomon Kalou

I would like to go on record to state that Salomon Kalou is one of the most frustrating players I have watched over the past few years and I am sure some of you will agree with me.

The reason I get so frustrated? It's because he has everything in his locker, he has the skills, the technique, the pace, an eye for a pass and an eye for a goal but one minute he's great and the next he isn't!. It's so frustrating it really is!. I've lost count how many times he has taken people on and run the ball out of play!.

From the sublime to the ridiculous - that's Salomon Kalou all over.

Without question, Kalou has the ability to be world class. Some people might think that's strange of me to say it and if that's the case why are Chelsea willing to release him at the end of his contract

The problem is, he just hasn't produced enough when he HAS been playing and I think if you look at length of his time here from when he joined us to now he is leaving, it's hard to see a real improvement. He joined us as part of the squad and we have been looking for him to kick on and push for first team places and it's still the same today.

If anything, Roberto Di Matteo has given him the longest run in the first team for quite some time and Kalou has had to sacrifice himself for our success but playing a more defensive role in the big games.

That's the thing about Kalou. You look at him when he plays or when he comes on and you know that he will always give 100% and will always look to impress and you cannot fault him for that.

All Kalou has ever wanted to do is play football and it looks like come the end of June, he will have a chance to do that elsewhere. Only time will tell if given a regular start in games, we finally see Kalou become the player we all know he could be. I really hope we do.

I would like to stop you there... Kalou has everything in his locker?

He has alright skills i guess, but hardly ever beats a man.

Technique? Nah.

The pace? give you that one.

An eye for a pass? Nope.

Eye for a goal? eh sometimes when he can shot from 2 yards out.

Fernando Torres and Juan Mata lol at the bolded statement. Had Mata been born just a little quicker, had it been Sturridge that Kalou picked out time after time during the last few weeks of the season, we could have perhaps finished 4th.

And his pass to Torres in the QPR game was quite extraordinary.

Mate, he doesn't have an eye for a pass... simple as that.

Players like Mata, silva does but Kalou, No.

Also that pass to Torres was great, but that's one in a blue moon.

To be fair, he lost that by about 22. From there you could see that unfortunately he wouldn't fulfil what he promised in his Feyenoord days.

Even before we bought him, i remember on another Forum the Feyenoord fans were saying he was frustrating to watch.

He sent Mata off time after time, particularly at Wembley against the Yids. His passing is vastly underrated.

Like you said he's not the best passer in the world but he's far better than he's give credit for.

Glad he is leaving to be honest. When I look back at his Chelsea career, he has been horse shit overall. Some important goals but thats more of a sugar coating over horse shit!

Some fans just remember him for his mistakes. It's a travesty that they tend to overlook his positive contributions with the few mistakes he made in the past 6 years for Chelsea.

He wasn't our best player but he also wasn't the worst, played for the club and gave his 100%. Not the kind of player who deserves a stand to be named after him or anything big, just needs to be appreciated.I thank him for the memories and hope he has a successful future up ahead.

Good luck Salomon!

Not vouching for Kalou, but he can pick out players (occasionally). Remember the Drogba goal against Utd at OT 2 years ago? Offside yes, but its an example of how Kalou can play the good passes.
