It was an unbelievable game. It was sad for AM to lose that way. However I thought they were extremely heavy handed as they were against us and deserved the many yellow cards they got and were lucky not to be down to 10 men at one point.

Dude, you can't seriously compare Real's CL win to ours! They completely out-played every single opponent. Yes, they choked in the league but in the CL, they were by far the best team in the tournament and have thoroughly deserved it. Their defense which everyone called the weakest in the QFs didn't concede a single goal against Bayern in the semis and only conceded from an amateur mistake by Cassillas yesterday. In fact, I can't remember Athleti having a single chance yesterday. You have to give them credit and admit you were wrong about them.

the discussion i had with rmpr during the draws was not only about RM's CL prowess but in how they are in general. a team can go on a good run in a knockout competition. things can go in their favor. the smallest of things which can be of the greatest importance. ATM had one hand on the cup and that equaliser knocked the bloody stuffing out of them. after that there was only one winner. u could see their players already crying in the dug out and on the field, it seemed their spirit and resilience was shattered. if this goal had come in the 60th minute, the outcome of the match would have been very different.

against BVB. RM were not at all good. they got a 3-0 win at bernabaeu which could so easily have been 3-2/3-3 and dont even get me started on the match in bvb.

i am not saying RM dint deserve to win. they won cos they were the best out of the rest. does not mean it changes anything i said about them. this year they were riding on the LA DECIMA wave. u could see in the players that they really really really wanted to win it and get this monkey off their backs. which was very similar to our situation.

Munich is the best team on paper imo.

This season, only one key player is injured coming in (Thiago) and they got significant pieces in Lewandowsk(CF)i, Rode(CM/RB), Bernat(LB) and the return of Batsduber(CB).

Pep got more options now and may even bring in both hoiberg/green to more first team shots this season.

In the preseason, pep been doing some crazy things with the team, so I have no clue how the team will line up and in which formation. He's been playing 3-4-3 so far....
