LAM09 5,993
They have changed the rule. Europa League winners now get a spot in the Champions League.http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2330238/Europa-League-winners-given-Champions-League-place-UEFA.htmlhttp://www.uefa.com/uefaeuropaleague/news/newsid=2215121.htmlI'm aware of that, but they could deduct a place or have two teams fight for qualification. They have prevented 5 teams going into the CL from England since it happened a few years back.I know it's a different situation, but I'm sure they'll put something in place to prevent it soon enough, if they haven't already. They aren't going to make the third/fourth placed team suffer for that.

LAM09 5,993
Yeah but the team who finish in the Champions League places? They won't have a leg to stand, if UEFA want to change things. How do you think Tottenham felt in 2012?Powerless!

How do you think Tottenham felt in 2012?Powerless!But the old rule was already established when that happened. Tottenham knew they wouldn't play in the Champions League if we beat Bayern Munich in the final.

Why would UEFA change it back to 4 as the maximum??

The competition needed the holders in it and hence why UEFA decided to put them in even though they finished fifth (IIRC) that season. It didn't even affect Everton who got fourth spot. It didn't affect them, but it has affected everyone else since. Them failing to qualifying was music to UEFA's ears.
ulvhedin 356
The changed the rules - to this season only 4 team from one country could play in CL, from this season the rule is that 5 team can play
kobematabryant 397
Konoplyanka must be one of the most underrated player in the world. His style of play definitely reminds me of Hazard/CR7. It's a shame player from leagues like Ukraine are hardly known, it's just the mainstream teams. Konoplyanka, based on skill and ability, would walk into any Premier League side. He will be a free this summer and quite surprised at the lack of interest. At the current rate, it just seems Spurs or Liverpool interested. Nobody realises how talented this guy is because he plays in a league no one watches.
BlueLyon 9,359
I was getting a bit excited about this Barca as they play quite great football, but just remembered about that 2009 semi final again. Fuck them. I hope Juve wins just to make them cry. Pricks. But it will probably end like that euro 2012 finale between spain and italy

Tomo 21,037
Can you even begin to imagine Ronaldo, Ramos and Pepe working under Rafa? If Mourinho struggled to control that dressing room Rafa hasn't got a hope.
