ZAPHOD2319 4,818
We really hit the jackpot with this draw. Not just Porto but the best possible semi final draw too. I am in a little shock.
cosmicway 1,333
Real are not the great force they were with Ronaldo. Same as in 2012. It was a period of slump for them (under Jose) and had they not failed against Bayern, the 2012 final would have been a walk in the park for CFC. MoroccanBlue 5,382
We shouldn't take Porto lightly but I feel neither Tuchel or the players will. They know the golden opportunity that was given to them. Christ, could this be 2012 all over again?
nyikolajevics 2,698
We have to be careful though. I watched Porto’s both games against Juve, they are defending really good. Mbemba has improved a lot since Newcastle days and Pepe still plays with big passion. What is good that their 2 top scorers(Oliveira amd Taremi) will both be suspended in the first game, good chance to get another clean sheet but we also must score in Portugal to start the second leg from comfortable situation. Milan 17,957
A genuine question now - will our games with Porto be played in the home stadiums or neutral venues? Arsenal v Benfica matches were played on neutral venues. Juventus v Porto in their home stadiums. How is the situation now? @Jason any idea? Thiago and him against PSG in the final. And I literally said on here how ironically beautiful it would be if it was Chelsea FC that gave Thiago and TT the CL triumph. If that final happens does Tuchel gets medal regardless the result?
Jase 43,479
The quarter-final dates against Porto have been confirmed - Apr 7 & 14. So, our fixtures in April... Apr 3 - WBA (h) Apr 7 - Porto (a) Apr 10 - Crystal Palace (a) Apr 13 - Porto (h) Apr 17 - Brighton (h) [OR could be the FA Cup SF if we get there] Apr 24 - West Ham (a) Only 1 trip outside London in that six-game run. If we qualify, the Champions League semi finals will be a few days after the West Ham game.
