After the inclusion of Ba, he was dropped from the substitute list, he needs playing time to gain experience and continue his development. Like what others are saying, I dont think he will get lots of minutes in Malaga. Hoping he performs well if he gets to play and impress Pellegrini!

Malaga are flying high, playing CL football & fighting for one place next year.

This should be better & more esteemed situation than at Chelsea. Piazon is most likely expected to be given playing time. Now, it´ll be up him to show his stuff. Hopefully, he will flourish there.

Unpopular opinion here, sorru, but I agree. Not that he isn't a good talent - but the whole fact he is a young playmaker from Brazil generally makes people overrate him. I remember when we wee first looking to sign him, no one had even heard of him but quite alot of people were saying he would be going straight into the first team, (not necessarily on this forum). And his first few months in England were actually quite poor, it was not until the latter stages of the FAYC that he grew into things and showed some of his talent, but he somehow automatically became our reserves' best player. He has also looked pretty poor in his first team appearances so far(bar Villa). Generally I find he always over dribbles the ball, both at youth and the couple of starts he had, will get past one and then panics, becomes indicisive, and dribbles into a defender. Once he learns when to release it he can become a good player.

So are the club overrating him then? The ones who see him day in day out, promoted him to training with the first team, gave him the player of the season award last season. The guy has been our best player in the Next Gen games according to most and overall has been one of our best in the reserve team. In fact he was being slated after the game against United a few months back so I don't see where the 'overrate' him stuff has come from, but in the games against Wolves and Villa he's done very well. The only thing I'd agree on is that he does hold on to the ball far too long which means he gets caught out, but that'll improve as he gets games and plays more competitively. Other than that he's a massive talent, nothing to do with him Brazilian or anything of the sort
