History has shown that building a team for the future is more productive and rewarding than assembling a squad of predominantly expensive and established players. since younger players have something to prove and have the hunger and determination running through their veins. also they have enough time to gel together and become a solid unit. Ajax's team of 1994-97 and barca's team of 08-present typifies that. risk taking as its own benefit and when it does come off, nothing can beat that feeling of accomplishment one derives from it.

Lay off new some great player thing.

New Messi.

New Kaká.

Fuck off.

He is Piazon.

Agreed. Always said people have to stop branding teenagers 'wonderkids' or 'the next pele, messi, ronaldo, zidane' etc.

I was just listening to the BBC’s World Football Phone-in with Tim Vickery and a listener emailed in a question regarding Lucas Piazon’s development. Vickery said Piazon is a gifted, technical striker with two feet who can play back to goal. But he also said he isn’t a stand-out talent and doesn’t understand what Chelsea have seen in him that has triggered the move. He also went on to say that the Brazil u17 coach (which Piazon currently represents) has said that there is no real big talent in that age group unlike the u20s which has Neymar, Lucas and a few others.

If anybody is interested in listening here is the link - http://www.bbc.co.uk/podcasts/series/wf (it’s towards the end of the podcast around 63mins onwards)
