We tried though ... One good source says that we offered as much that it will be very hard for Juve to receive more. Though they will probably receive similar offer next summer since Paul is young enough and his value won't drop significantly.

Lots of trash, there's no way that Chelsea opened discussions with Juventus in August, ffs it's impossible for such complicated operation involving so much money that talks start in August. There's too much issues to resolve, for example that dodgy image rights. Chelsea were in discussions with Juve for months.
