Next season should partner youth in the capital one cup. Maybe the odd fa cup match or two if we have a ton of fixtures. Should be nowhere near the champions league squad, and rarely near the PL squad.

On another note, there's definitely no excuse for his performances these past few days. Horrible, lacklustre, and unsure defending, he's starting to remind me of Ben-Haim lately. Hopefully he steps it up, because he has been a definite liability ever since coming back from injury.

Say what you want but Gary, just like in Munich against Gomez, saved our asses tonight. In Munich he used his head, in Amsterdam - oh my god, did you see the double tackle? That was a clear goal and he just slided in and cleared the ball. Amazing.

The thing with Cahill is he is always the most over rated or most under rated in the squad depending on his last game, didierforever's comment proof of that. Plays bad he is useless, plays good he is the new JT.

He was fantastic tonight and that goal line clearance was a good as a goal, valuable squad player.
