Tortilla9 390
I take anything the Daily Mail and Mirror say with a huge grain of salt. If they said 1+1=2 I'd still double check. SW_Blue and eldo

francozola 2,040
they used the only shot of him that there could be where he wasn't smiling He's one of the most professional footballers out there and he's also very self-critical so he's definitely aware of the fact that he is on the decline. It's not like he will be dropped entirely because we don't have that many CM options right now hence AVB will rotate. laura90, Term-X and eldo

whinni09 37
The ideal replacement for Frank Lampard should be an englishman for sure, we are an english team and not an brazilian.. Start play McEachran and buy Cahill, there are things our staff can learn the new players that no other staff could do.

Peace. 4,352
He is a competitor, like Drogba, therefore it is normal if the guy is unhappy to be on the bench. And I myself think he is unhappy. But, that doesn't mean at all that he holds a grudge toward Villas-Boas or that he is angry toward the club. It is just that the man can no more practice his passion and job like he did when he was "young". Who would be happy if he couldn't practice his passion because of phisical reasons, huh ? zolayes 14,489
http://bcove.me/p6l98f3cLampard talk point was coming.I made it my obsession since pre-season, and now just recently the press pick it up.Nothing surprising for me.As I said, any smart coach will see that Lampard is no longer the player to play every game for full 90 mins. Lampard if to stay at Chelsea, and he wants to put up eating bench, then he will become a hire to the Giggs role!not sure what eating bench means ,,,just realised hire should be heir... Raul has taken the hair role
nadavTKL 1,787
I never understand why people in England hate Lampard so much(beside Chelsea fans off course), is it just because he was nevergood in the national team like he is in Chelsea, and becuase he's a Chelsea player? or there is something else? francozola 2,040
^ I never got it either. It's ridiculous because he's a model pro on and off the pitch. They just love Stevie Me so much and can't admit that even though Lamps has never been the same for England, he has always overshadowed Gerrard who has been shit all along yet no one says anything. Plus during Jose's time, everything related to Chelsea was viewed with complete hatred so that didn't help him

5354 204
The decline in Lampard's form is pretty astonishing... After recovering from last year's injury he never really looked the same.
Kez 2,727
I could not care less about nationality. It's different for the English fans, it means more to them to see an English player playing for the team, it means alot for the team as well. Just look at the English back bone we had in 04/05.
Kez 2,727
I think that goes for any nationality not just English.....But those who want to see a better game, and don't care about such silly things, would look past this.I love the sport first before a club, or national team. So as fan of this sport, i want to see better game all the time.I was speaking from the point that he is from America but he's a Chelsea fan. But of course we wouldn't choose a player to be in the team just because he's English if we have a better foreign player in the same position. That would be stupid. Blue Armour 4,442
Lamps time maybe drawing near, but its ridiculous to doubt his commitment to the team and its cause...Quote:" It was the first time in eight years that Lampard found himself fit but not selected for a Premier League game as Chelsea brushed aside Swansea. Reports Lampard stormed away early after failing to come off the bench were wide of the mark.He spent more than half an hour after the game warming down on the pitch and came back drenched in sweat. Most of his team-mates were already showered and heading for home.
