Non-Chelsea Transfer Pub

Looks like we are going to have to get busy.

Nigerian agent Babawo Mohammed claims that he's looking for an escape route:

Mikel has agreed personal terms with Al Ain and it is now left for Chelsea and the Dubai club to agree on a transfer fee. He has returned to England to communicate all these to Chelsea. We just have to wait and see what Chelsea say in this regard.

I haven't got a clue how your brain works. Ask yourself that question.

Maybe you should ask yourself why you are being sensitive. It's not like no else here mentioned 'Serie A is shit'...oh wait!

Read what I wrote AFTERWARDS. I was referring to the overall standard of defending with the exception of a few teams. It was related to rumoured interest in Faouzi.

Please read the whole discussion before making needless comments.

 Don't have to get all worked up mate. Already said that comment wasn't directed at you and yet, I'm not sure why you keep on going about it.

What I said was applied more to the general opinion of fans, especially after iseah brought it up (again). Many here (and elsewhere) have simply said 'Serie A is shit' when it suits them and not said that when it doesn't. It's tiresome and ignorant.

Not sure where you're getting that impression from. I'm chilled.

In regards to Serie A; I'm a huge fan and know what standard it is. Look at the Salah thread to point out the ignorant people. It's full of them.

I stand by what i said. Serie A is boring af lol. Dude even said the defense sucks but praised Salah tirelessly when he was scoring against the likes Parma, Empoli, Sampdoria, etc. [emoji23] but I'm going off topic, I'm done.

Juve lost once all season at home. Who beat them?

REST MY CASE!

He has 29(Ramos) and wanted to earn 20m per season. If you sell the guy for 50m or more and, also, you bring Otamendi for lees, well, isn't a bad deal. Especially for the difference between their wages.

I think you are spot on with your first point. Even Varane or Falcao would not really make the fans climb the fences. We got enough numbers in most offensive positions and also enough talent, some of them just have to hit form.

Yes, Arsenal and the Manchester teams will spend a lot, but it is not that they will pull some world class players out of the hat which we can't sign. There simply aren't many world class players available atm.

Yes to fend off the domestic rivals it should suffice to make sure we improve here and there in quality and depth and have another one of our attacking mids finally flourish.

On the other hand to win the CL next season we would need some major reinforcements, that would help us more mid to short time than in the long run. Those would include people like Schweinsteiger and Bale.

When we last won the league 2010 and we only signed benayoun and ramires, while losing ballack, deco, belletti and more, we knew we were fucked when lamps and drogs caught injuries. This time round our squad in younger and on the ascend however, an injury to two out of matic, fabregas, hazard and costa would likely wreck our title challenge. This is why I think, Mou should step out of his shadow and buy some quality players for depth AND to improve us as a team (like more tactic flexibility esp in big games) .

I think what we should do is upgrade maybe 3 or 4 and use the old ones as the reinforcements. We was very lucky early season that it was only us on form which left the others playing catchup. You coulnt say that we couldnt do with an upgrade in a few areas. Im not saying the ones needing upgrades are awful but they either cant hold form, getting slow/old or we just could do better.

It looks like whether Mou says so or not we are losing a few players and with an already small squad we are going to be up a creek unless we buy more players. He said that he wanted a squad of 25/26 and unless we fill up on academy kids I cant see it.

I know we never know whats going on behind the scenes and theres but theres normally some gossip thats true about whos coming. All the gossip lately is for hasbeens and wannabes.

I reckon Im going to stay away from the media till pre season friendlies and come back happy or with a need to get wrecked.

Milan target list - Kondogbia, Jackson Martinez (done deal they say), Imbula, Miranda, Turan, Zlatan. Inter are also in for Miranda and Imbula.

Its annoying, because I would actually like everyone of Kondogbia, Imbula, Miranda and maybe Turan in Chelsea.

If we want any of those i would of guess we'll get them, so hope we'll get just as good CMs and CBs, or better.

Honestly, for me it's disappointing being linked with the likes of Falcao and Douglas Costa while City are linked with De Bruyne and Pogba. If the disparity in transfer quality between us and them ends up being something along those lines I think we're really short-changing ourselves for the season ahead. Those types of signings for City can have the same impact Costa and Fabregas had for us.

We also can't 'workhorse' our way through the CL later stages, we know how that has turned out the past two years under Mourinho. We need one big signing at least if we are to solidify our position at the top and push forward in the CL.

I completely agree.

We need to become better to compete with the likes of Bayern, Barca and Real - assuming that is one of our club's goals..

Even to keep the title - we're gonna need players of the highest quality.
