'I don't believe a word that comes out of that man's mouth' - Gary Neville hits back at Paul Pogba's agent Mino Raiola

Gary Neville has hit back at snipes directed at him from Paul Pogba's agent Mino Raiola, as he reiterated his belief that the French World Cup winner wants to leave the club.

Raiola claimed Neville's comments suggesting Pogba is not committed to United has affected his image among the club's supporters, with his return to action for the first time since September 30th in Sunday's 2-0 defeat at Watford reopening the debate over his future at the club.

Real Madrid are still believed to be keen to sign Pogba in next month's transfer window, with United legend Neville pulling few punches in his assessment of the club's record signing as he responded to Raiola's snipes.

"A flying, fit, motivated Paul Pogba is a massive asset to Manchester United, but I don't believe a word his agent says," Neville told Sky Sports. "I don't believe a word that comes out of that man's mouth.

Another Duncan Wright exclusive for The Sun: Norwich and Southampton want Chelsea’s highly-rated young defender Marc Guehi on loan for the rest of the season.

Would be a good move I think.

I think Southhampton

I agree that it would be a good move, especially it Southampton could offer minutes to Marc. Only concern is whether it is safe for us to let him go, numericaly speaking. His loan would leave us with four specialist centre backs. Is that enough the day after 3 at the back has again shown itself to be a really useful option for us? We do have Reece and Dave who could share the right back/spare centre back role.

Looks like Cavani will replace Costa, who has gone really downhill since going back to Atletico.

Someone posted reports a couple of days ago that Bayern and Atletico are favourites for Werner with us. Atletico buying Cavani definitely leaves them out. Bayern is after Mertens I read and they just got super talent young forward in Zirkzee who scored 2 goals in 14 minutes played this season. Maybe Liverpool is after him but we have great chance I think!

Bournemouth is perfect

we buy Ake and lend them Guehi

Howe is a good defensive coach and he would get playing time as they are decimated in their back 4 atm

just my tuppence

I wish the rest of football would cut them off and just run the fuckers into ground

Florentino Perez is a walking poison for football

the whole club is just 100% toxic (and I hate Barca, but nothing like this)

they destroy so many careers and have exploded the costs

What's behind this decision? Why would China do this? @Ryan Fong

The reason is explained in the article actually.

Quote

When talking on the new laws that were agreed upon by the authorities on Christmas Day, Chinese Football Association chairman Chen Xuyuan said: 'Our clubs had too much money burned and our professional football has not been run in a sustainable way,' according to state news agency Xinhua.

'If we don't take timely action, I fear it will collapse.'

It is essentially to curb clubs' excessive spending on foreign players (just look at some of the ridiculous numbers below - graphic from The Sun) and likely force clubs to focus on homegrown talent instead, especially at a time when China aren't doing great as a footballing nation.
