AC Milan sign Ismael Bennacer from Empoli

Afcon 2019 Player of the Tournament

https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/49225798

AC Milan have signed Algeria midfielder Ismael Bennacer from fellow Italian club Empoli for a reported £14.5m.

The 21-year-old has signed a five-year contract with the Serie A side.

Bennacer has joined on the back of helping Algeria win the Africa Cup of Nations during the summer, where he was named player of the tournament.

He had a spell at Arsenal from from 2015 to 2017 before joining Empoli and the Gunners reportedly decided not to take up an option to re-sign him.

Bennacer only made one appearance for Arsenal and that outing came as a substitute in a League Cup game.

He initially represented France at Under-18 and Under-19 level before opting to play for Algeria from 2016.

Allan Saint-Maximin: Newcastle sign French winger from Nice for £16.5m

https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/49211377

Newcastle have signed French winger Allan Saint-Maximin from Nice for a reported £16.5m.

Saint-Maximin, a France Under-21 international, has signed a six-year deal at St James' Park.

"He has all the attributes you would want in an attacking player," manager Steve Bruce said.

Earlier on Friday Newcastle announced the signing of Netherlands defender Jetro Willems on a season-long loan from Eintracht Frankfurt.

The 25-year-old left-back - who has 22 international caps - made 36 appearances for the Bundesliga outfit last term.

The Magpies will have the option to sign Willems on a permanent deal at the end of the season.

Juve are mad getting rid of Cancelo for cash and Danilo.

Danilo was decent at Porto but hasnt kicked on since where as Cancelo, for me, is one of the best offensive full backs in Europe. Every time he gets in the final third he has a real desire to contribute in a positive way. Why Juve and Sarri would even consider selling him for only 30m and Danilo is incrediblely stupid.

Arnaut Danjuma

Excellent move by Howe: Bournemouth’s £13.7m Dutch acquisition is worth the outlay

https://madaboutepl.net/2019/08/bournemouth-make-a-smart-signing-in-arnaut-danjuma/

Earlier this week, Bournemouth lured Dutch wing sensation Arnaut Danjuma from Club Brugge to the Vitality Stadium for a reported transfer fee of £13.7million.

Bournemouth finished fourteenth in the Premier League standings last season and it goes without saying that they will strive for a top-ten finish in the upcoming campaign.

Danjuma has been the fourth signing by Bournemouth in the ongoing transfer window and there is no denying that Eddie Howe has been shrewd in beefing up his ranks this summer.

Howe’s camp had already acquired the services of Philip Billing, Lloyd Kelly, and Jack Stacey and the entry of Danjuma has further enhanced the quality of Howe’s arsenal.

this is exactly why it is so easy to hate Real Madrid

James had a £38m buy-out option that Bayern (stupidly I think) turned down (they could sold him on for a lot more)

but we go with that £38m as Real's valuation on him (literally)

so now look at this, lol

Man United reject Real Madrid bid for Paul Pogba which included James Rodriguez in player-plus-cash deal

https://talksport.com/football/582448/man-united-real-madrid-bid-pogba-james-rodiguez/

Manchester United have reportedly rejected a £27.4million plus James Rodriguez bid for Paul Pogba from Real Madrid.

Zinedine Zidane wants to sign the France star before the LaLiga transfer window closes on September 2.

LOLOLOL

Real is literally offering (around £65m in valuation based off their OWN numbers) less than half what Manure said (not saying Manure gets the £135m) they want for Pogba

it is a fucking joke!

Real is a fucking joke

so fucking arrogant

I think they'll get relegated this season. Probably with Sheffield and Norwich.

It was stupid from a financial point of view. Marina would not have hesitated a second. But Bayern had their reasons. They said it was not their style to treat a player as cash cow but what they meant is that Madrid gave them special conditions in the first place based on their club friendship and they would not want to waste that.

But yeah both clubs are absolute twats

Attempting to swap Dybala for Lukaku and now Cancelo for Danilo? Juventus are making some weird moves for players that don't seem to fit Sarri's style at all.

That Dybala-Lukaku swap attempt is Juventus trying to get an expensive player Dybala off the books and screw Conte up by getting Lukaku, knowing Inter can pose a domestic challenge to them.
