What is the point in having promising youth who are not going to get a shot to prove themselves. Thats where we stand right now. It is high time Chelsea starts looking into their reserves pool and start promoting youth players rather than sending them out to shitty leagues to fade away.

With United, Arsenal and even Liverpool this season the youth are given a adequate chances to prove themselves which is just not the case at the Bridge. We are hell bent on buying rather than trying.

I do agree with you, dont get me wrong, BUT:

Chelsea are a rich club and our owner is worth over 12 billion and there is no deny buying expensive and talented players gains success, so surely we would be made not to do that ? Personally i think we need to combine buying players with bringing up the youth. A point is that Bertrand has been excellent for us recently, but he doesnt stand a chance of breaking into the first team with Cole in the team so what can you do ?

My point is that you say try out youth players but none of them are good enough to be playing premiership football at the moment at a club like chelsea, give them sub apperences yes. And it must be noted youth get more oppurtuinities at liverpool and arsenal especially because they havent got as good a 1st team as chelsea!

Hoilett would be a good player if we miss out on Hazard and Lavezzi plus he'd be free. Essien should be replaced by either Tiote or M'villa. For 10 million we should get Johnson even if we Get Hazard/Lavezzi

definatley m8 fully agree, should go for a big name like hazard/lavezzi then get rid of kalou and malouda and bring in moses and johnson, tiote for ess and a RB? we're fine for strikers!

moses, johnson, hoilett? One would be fine but all? Common we are fighting for top table next season. They are good, but I think Kalou would play decently for Fulham...and we would go after him right? Top players are what we need. Likely to spend more on four players, than get moses, cabaye, johnson and hoilett. This is not fucking fulham, bolton or wigan...It is Chelsea and we need some good players. This moses and johnson are just interesting because we dont have them and they do good job among worst players in their mid table clubs. Yes one of them would be good ass key for rotation in our squad, but not all of them. Azpi, Lavezzi/hazard, Modric and Hoilett. If roman decides to spend more, get cavan or hulki and tiote or mvila.

Rossi tore his ACL again while training this morning. More surgery for him and will be out for another 6 months. Shame. Out of Euros and any transfer move for him in the summer looks unlikely now.

Yeah, that's why Chelsea are gonna play Ferreira till he's 40 years old... a RB is definitively needed + a 4th CB.

Ivanovic has been used mostly as a RB, and tbh, I think he isn't as good as a CB as he is as a RB.
