He is free though, if we can get rid of Kepa and replace him we wouldn't lose much.

His salary would be still huge. 12M per year is 250k / week, for this amount of money he has to play and we should drop Mendy, we have no reason to do so. Only Donnarumma’s name is better than our guy’s, he has been flawless in the last 2 years.

(not to mention Raiola would probably demand more salary from wealth English clubs than Milan)

your maths are off

12m per year was in euros

230,769 euros per week

in pounds sterling that is

around £196K PW at current FOREX rates

ie. around half of what Oblak wants (and Oblak wants a 7 year contract) PLUS Oblak has a 120m euro (£102m) release clause

I am not saying we should sign Donnarumma, just giving a fuller picture of the cash involved

Aguero and Messi are best friends. Both free agents in 3 months. I think they will play together in Barca or PSG.

Currently, Messi might even stay at Barcelona, especially if they win La Loga and the Spanish Cup. If they get at least one good defender, they improve massively. Their offense currently is pretty solid

Yes, a big change. But judging based on last couple of weeks, I think Barcelona are not as bad as they used to be. Offensively, they improved a lot and credit has to go to Koeman. From a defense point of view, they are bad, but they can only solve that by buying new players. Garcia is coming, so maybe he solves a little bit of their problems. I think Mingueza is alright and better than Umtiti and Lenglet. If De Jong plays as a CB, they might already have their back 3 sorted out or at least it is much better than their current line up with Lenglet

you are far more optimistic about Barca's CB's than I am (I would go fucking MENTAL if we had all of theirs and they had all of ours, I would seriously go full on rage mode)

Eric Garcia  NOT sold on him at all, he looked shaky for Citeh in the games I saw, he is short as well (all of their CB's are save for old man Pique and youngster Araújo, the weak Lenglet is borderline)
Clément Lenglet    so so overrated, hard pass atm
Gerard Piqué    rinsed, rapidly ageing out, Tiago Silva he is not
Samuel Umtiti  perma damaged goods at this point, barring a miracle turnaround
Óscar Mingueza   big meh, I have seen nothing special from him, put him on Real Betis and no one would even know his name
Ronald Araújo the only one I would want, and he is still pretty inexperienced

Frenkie de Jong he is the shortest of all (1.80m, and was listed at 1.79m before) and not strong for a CB (Azpi is strong as a bull for his small size), I cannot see him as any sort of CB answer
