NikkiCFC 8,462
So Jota, Thiago and LB from Greece. This is 80m pounds. And apparently Klopp wants new CB as well.
Magic Lamps 11,692
we should really go for Telles as back up to Chilwell. Alonso is an utter liability and will cost of tons of points if Chilwell continues to be absent. Atomiswave

prehuman 119
Alex Telles is a great player. There are good left-backs on the market. Tagliafico, Gosens, Grimaldo. We went for the most expensive of all and not necessarily the best. Jota's situation was strange. Surprising that Liverpool buys him, who supposedly had no money for anything, they must have won the lottery because they are so poor according to Klopp. Mendes promised that a Premier club would buy Semedo from Barcelona. It will be Wolves, won't it? Money from Jota to Semedo. Wolves lost Doherty, does any other club need a right back and have money for him, besides being in Mendes' hand? Semedo at Wolves in the next few hours. Unionjack

No doubt, Telles and Tagliafico were the best options, in terms of value for money. It should have been Man Utd doing the same thing they did with Maguire, buying an overvalued player, but in this case Lampard wanted to play that role. Pizy 19,026
That's a fuck load of money for Jota, wow. For a squad player. He wasn't even one of Wolves' best 5 players!
chelsea_4_eva 1,185
So Jota for £45m or activate Werners clause at £49m? I know which one I would choose £45m is hefty for a squad player.. makes me so much happier we got ziyech at the price we got him. NikkiCFC 8,462
We guaranteed starting place. I think this is the reason why he chose us. DDA

He makes Bosingwa look like an unstoppable wall defensively. I'd have been a lot more worried had they nabbed Grimaldo (who was my LB preference). He has brilliant dribbling ability, balance, versatile, scores goals and is only 23. The move has come out of no where really but I have rated him highly. It is just a real surprise that they did not go in for Werner... most likely down to wages but Werner is top class so...

I rate him too, but if you would've asked me what I figured he'd go for I'd have said ~£25m. If someone had bought him for that earlier this summer I would think to myself "yeah, that price sounds about right."

But IF some consider him as overpriced I would still do it if the guys going to be great or the team. Every player we buy is a risk in one way or another. Just like gambling. Pays yer money and takes yer chance. Just that we remember our failures often.
