YouNameIt 1,511
André's trying to make do with what he has.Drogba needed a rest, Sturridge too. Anelka's shit. Kalou's shit. Torres was being cried for by everyone, now he's dug his own grave.I dont agree that they need a rest. They are professional athletes and i would agree resting them if this game wasnt important, maybe if we were up against the likes of Everton or some other team. With this much at stake Drogba should have played, no doubt about it.Oh and he brings Anelka on? At a desperate time? A player who doesnt have a future in the club, has nothing to play for and havent played in a while? Pathetic...

Who else do you want to bring on? Salomon 'I can't kick a ball straight' Kalou? Our real success will come in the next 2 transfer windows. Kez 2,727
Oh dear god honestly how many of you genuinely believed we would win the league this season or any silverware? Instant success is just expected by a lot of chelsea fans these days. Ridiculous. Did you see how we played last season with an ageing team? The majority of our players were bought by Jose or around in Jose's reign. They are past it and need to be replaced. That can't be done in one summer. This season is not about winning silverware its about creating a new team & some big changes should be made next summer as not enough were made in the summer. If you can't handle a couple of seasons without silverware you need to develop some patience & real support. Football is not always rosé. Henri 115
We go true a crisis, and we will get thru it. Changes should have been made years ago. If Boas comes outand say that we need to build a new team, give us time to build our future then i would belive in him andsupport him, but he keeps on telling us the team is strong and good enough and everybody can see thateither are the players not that good, or they just dont understand his way of football thinking. His positivityand way of building a team is failing big time, he will face the consequence if he the dont react fast!.

Football is not always rosé.I agree with you, (and proved it with the rep) but we are a club with the quality to do better than our last calendar year. Revised expectations are possibly in order. AVB came in here and has helped begin the next generation of Chelsea football, but he also stated that this club will strive for trophies throughout that process. If we could be ensured that AVB will be given the proper time and resources to build the next great Chelsea team, I'd feel better. But even you can't say that Roman will let this poor form go on for another whole season or two.
BlueLion. 21,491
The only way of rescuing this season is if we delegate it to the next generation rather than watch a bunch of spineless, over-paid has-beens only give a fuck about their pay cheques. True_Blue 469
We won't be winning a trophy every season just fucking face it.Oh dear lord what would happen if we didn't win a thing like Arsenal for 6-7 years? Our fan base would drop for like 70%.

Football is not always rosé.Big changes?, i wouldn't mind it if we had bought the players we needed and it took a season to gel, but this is a wasted season. We havent bought any new players, and your saying we can't buy at least 4 players in the summer?, we can't buy a team in a season if that's what you mean, because it will always take time to gel, but this is our punishment for not buying these players already, and it's probably because we havent had a long term manager to actually do it. Peace. 4,352
By taking this job, André is facing to a big construction work to accomplish. He has inherited a team who, each and every day comes closer to his "death" (ie the old guard). Hence he will have to built a new team and to instil into our club a new philosophy. It will take time. You just have to face the fact we will go through some "bad moment" because of the work which hasn't have been made a long time ago. So accept this fact and chill out, give him time to build his team.
Laylabelle 9,540
Yeah exactly! We go into summer without a Manager and seem to get one halfway through the window then pre season and shite starts hardly time to think!
