What the fuck is wrong with some of the fucking people on this planet!? People on twitter laughing and taking the piss out of Drog. I know people don't want to see their rivals do well but anyone who wishes or revels in that kind of thing happening to another human being is a sick cunt. Sometimes I think people need to learn where to draw the line with football.

I think Anelka was good also...next game we should start with Mata-Torres-Anelka up front :)

Make that Mata-Lukaku-Anelka. Torres played poor today, with a lack of energie.

You should see some of the people in let's laugh at arsenal thread laughing when an Arsenal player gets injured.

That's why i don't laugh at nobody from any team that gets injured. It's bad!

Mata impressed alot in the time he spent on the pitch. Good Crosses, crisp passing, clever runs and clever passes. There was freshness and alot of movement once Mata came in. I cant wait to see the same with Sturridge on the right. The midfield still has a gaping hole for creativity. Apart from Ramirez, the other two are slow. And you need a bit more dynamism in your engine and we lack that.

What a run by Ramirez, he should be an olympian!! The moment Anelka played it to him, I knew he would beat the last defender but he still had a heavy touch and only he could have won the penalty there.

4-3-3 is the way to go. 4-4-2 Diamond is dire specially with Malouda, Lampard in the Diamond.

Credit to Norwich. They were very good. They beat the offside trap time and again on our right hand side. Even after being reduced to 10 men, they had two forwards up the field and they did scare us.

MoM: Ramirez

Good: Ramirez is a Top Top Player, What a Buy!!, Bosingwa looks to be back to his best and seems the player he was under Scolari. Mata looks Superb. Anelka looked lively. And Lukaku looked rusty. But he will improve.

Bad: Drogba, Looks Dire, Absolutely Dire!! Alot of heavy touches, misplaced passing and that Free Kick was horrndous. Torres unfortunately had no supplies again. All the passes were going to Drogba and Drogba was misplacing them. Feel for Torres as he has to play in this shit team. Lampard apart from the penalty was ok. Nothing Special but that isnt enough if we are aiming for Champions League.

Ugly: Hilario What were you thinking going for that Cross. Thats the Defender's Zone not GoalKeepers.

This is actually off-topic

Judging by today's game, out of Torres, Drogba, Anelka, malouda, kalou and sturridge

Malouda and Kalou are not goin to be playing for CFC very soon! (I hope!)

Last Week he was the Hero. Now the Villain. Next Week if he Scores you will replace his name with Anelka's

What have you made of the manager and his performance so far?

I'm not greatly enamoured so far I have to say. Trying to keep some perspective because it is still very early to judge him with conviction. No great changes so far, I can see glimpses of his philosophy but not it's full effect because this squad is just so stagnant and in limbo. Have to say he uses his subs way better than Carlo, though let's be fair, it's not very difficult to improve upon what Carlo served up in that regard.

A win is a win...

But as I've said earlier I'm still worried about the CF position..

If we don't have at least one CF scoring on a regular basis, this season is going to be a let-down ...I'm not talking of a 30 goal per season or something, just about consistent scoring

Now that Didier's out, its clear Torres is going to get more game-time....Not much end-product from him today, but I hope the fact that he quickly latched onto that cross from Mata is a sign of things to come...

I hope Sturridge can go on a good run...right now I've pinned my hopes on him

Lukaku looks promising...good positioning, decent link-up play and looked like a goal-threat...Has to improve on technique though, which doesn't look as refined as Didier's.

As for the mid-field I still can't understand why Josh doesn't get at least 5 mins on the pitch... He hasn't gone on loan so I hope he gets time in the coming games

Interesting thing is that mata did not play as winger as I saw. He played as an advanced midfielder. That might mean that we are no longer after modric but another winger maybe.

I think that's what's happening as well, and I was kind of hoping it would happen. Right now, with Lampard's decline, we have no one to provide that extra attacking force and creativity in our three-man midfield (other than maybe Mikel with his occasional long balls and Ramires with his surging runs). Mata is a great winger, but if he just stayed on the left flank, our midfield and attack would be left disjointed. I think this could actually be better than if we got Modric as Mata's attacking ability is better. But it also means we need another winger as you pointed out and that's probably why AVB wants Perreira.

We didn't have a regular scoring CF in Jose's first season and look what happened there.
