The Big Drog 1,110
This could go the way of Sturridge or the way of Kakuta, I desperately hope it's the former.Playing regularly in the Premier League should bring on his game leaps and bounds, he has everything you need to be a world class striker. The power, the speed, the presence it's just the technical ability and composure that need brushing up on but that can only come with playing week in week out at a competitive level. I think West Brom have a potential gem on their hands, hopefully he does well for them this season and hopefully this proves to be a big step in his career, as early as it is in his career I feel that this loan is a pivotal moment for him as a Chelsea player. I think he will succeed.
diskoviolente 425
All the best to the guy. I really, really want to see him being our big number nine one day. I am always overwhelmed by his dedication towards Chelsea and his pure desire to play for this particular club.To me he looks like one of these "straight from the heart" sort of guys, which I'd like to see in football. (Unlike the "Steven Gerrard fuckface")Romelu just has to get some minutes at West Brom. Hopefully West Brom can be to Lukakus what Bolton was to Sturridge.Should be good for him to work with Clarkey as well. Bir_CFC 3,455
Very happy for him. Hope he performs well, I'm sure he will. West Brom is a great team too, so if he can get a lot of playing time, he'll be playing for a proper mid-table side and under a good coach as well. He's gotta take this opportunity and make the most of it, and I'm sure he will, he has the right attitude.
Blu4Lyf 46
Hopefully this deal was done with Clarke having an understanding how important he is for CFC. Loans always scare me until I see consistent minutes, hopefully Romelu earns them like we all think he should.
Jase 43,479
Hope Steve Clarke utilizes him more than Brendan Rodgers did with McEachran.
Duppy Conqueror 1,533
Good move for the big man. hope he comes back a better player and helps Chelsea out by scoring a few winners against our rivals. he`s got a good football coach in Steve Clarke for a season. AndersonBLUE 819
Gonna say it now, this is going to be a terrible terrible loan. Lukaku better pull his finger out at least, £18 million my arsehole.
uzairblue 22
Official: Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku has joined West Brom on a season-long loan deal. read ---> http://www.footballh...ht.net/?p=36070
Naked Mole Rat 437
I'm glad he chose to join WBA instead of Wigan. We've had a few players loaned to them in the past, and none of them did well there (they probably loan players from us just to mess with us lol). Besides, he's way too good for Wigan. He needed to step up his game, and playing for a team that ends up barely avoiding relegation every season wouldn't have helped too much. I think he'll find a decent competition (not like the one he was involved in here with Drogba, Torres and Sturridge around) at Albion, and that's a good thing. We Hate Scouse 10,326
Definitely going to put some money on him scoring against Liverpool next week on his debut. xPetrCechx and Hamilton

Kojo 4,676
I have a huge feeling he will put in a few dissapointing performances then get dropped for the rest of the season and sit on the bench. Is he ready for Premier League?, i think he will be our number one forward one day i really do, but he's not ready for Premier League yet, he's 19 he has plenty of time to adjust, this move could kill him, or at least effect him in a major way.Championship Club would've been suitable. Well anyway we will see, he seems to play well for Belgium and looks a different player there, he might shock us all and play well for West Brom. Best of luck to him, really hope he does well. The level is much higher than reserves or youth but the players have a much better chance to succeed than in the PL. And he's 19 now, say if he fails this West Brom loan, that will fuck him up, look at Kakuta.I hate excuses about players i do, i generally now don't think Kakuta could ever of been a great player for us despite some impressive performances. If he did he would've showed that on loan at least once, but he never. Even on his under 21 matches he was shit, people where saying he was good, he was terrible in them.I would hate to see Lukaku end up the same way, fails this loan, then we loan him to another premier league club... same thing happens again... YuriZhirkov 106
Long, Odemwingie, Rosenberg and now Lukaku. West Brom really have a great attack, I just hope he can get in to the starting xi. Stats
Stats 7,142
Bright future and a lot of people on paper may think, guaranteed starter because he is an £18m player coming from Chelsea to West Brom but Long and Odemwingie IMO still may sometimes be Clarke's preferred starting strikers. That will really piss me of though, because I know he can get starts at many other premier league teams. Anyway Steve Clarke hopefully believes Lukaku will be a vital addition to his squad this upcoming season. But considering Long's injury problems and Odemwingie's uncertain future hopefully he has a very successful season there and has mentioned already I hope he is not in the same scenario as Kakuta where he is looked to be loaned out season after season
didierforever 7,349
have not westbrom already got 3 or 4 strikers? i would hate for lukaku to have a similar experience as josh. that would really blow. xPetrCechx
dumps 284
hopefully he gets game time. i wont put him in my fantasy team just yet, ill wait a few weeks and see how it goes.also, a lot of people moan about Josh's loan being a waste, but dont forget he had to train with that swansea team, a team that Rodgers mainly focused on passing with. and West Brom play a very straight forward attacking game so hopefully Lukaku will learn a lot. he will probably learn more at West Brom just by training than he would from training with Chelsea, we really seem to lack on being able to supply the striker at recent time so hopefuly we can sort that this season for the sake of all our strikers, no point in game time if you arent getting the ball!it's a good loan. also indicates that we will be purchasing another striker as all we have at the moment is sturridge and torres.... and if its moses, thats great news for torres (and hopefully he steps up to the challenge with no threat of drogba pushing for his place).can't wait for the new season. now i can watch some West brom games just to watch Lukaku. would love to see the likes of Piazon go on loan to west brom as well, i would love to watch those 2 week in week out. Kinol 337
He will get time. Im sure they will use him as a super sub. If they are down with 1 goal or something and its 10mins left they put him up top as a target player.
FormerRussianSpy 163
The West Brom forum reckons he will be a guaranteed striker. Damn, I really hope so. If he's is given some faith and real prem experience, it could be a huge season for him. But the 'Kakuta experience' is always a possibility.
