We must keep him at all costs. The guy is a beast. From distance, close range and in the air. He is exactly what we've needed since Drogs left. It's a shame we've had Lady boy and Demba Ba, who I think resembles a semi retarted baby giraffe when he runs leading our line. Etoo was good but he was like sticking paper over a crack. Just assure the guy, make him feel valued. Its been 2 years of sending him out, and after scoring tons of goals against the best teams, if we still cant trust him enough to let him know his value to the club, with some assurances, then he is right to leave.

In normal life, if you worked alongside 3 equally placed colleagues , and over 2 years you consistently did soooooo much better than all of them, and the company keeps giving them bonuses while giving nothing to you, surely at some point you would realise that this environment is not the right fit, and you could be doing so much better at another company.

That is the reason you ask for a transfer.

At that moment either the company realises your value and gives you assurances..... or you leave. Simple.

He has spoken more than he should have, the Club have not managed him as well as they could.

No one has said they don't want him here as 2nd choice. He seems to demand first choice place at Chelsea. That's what people are arguing about.

Not sure you can even compare this to Sturridge. Sturridge was actually here at the club and patiently waited for his time. Sturridge had Anelka, Drogba and Torres ahead of him - and when the former two left and he only had Torres ahead of him who wasn't performing well he still didn't get a proper chance up front. Rightfully complained about it IMO, and because the club didn't want to renew his contract (huge mistake obviously) he had to go as he had 6 months left if I remember correctly?

Lukaku however seems expecting to come in and be no. 1 striker - that's just ridiculous to start with. He could come in and be just behind Costa under a manager that does rightly rotate strikers - he would definitely get a lot more chances than Sturridge did here. He's opening his mouth way too many times for my liking. Lets all be clear on the basics: Everyone agrees that Lukaku has become good enough to be our no2 but also a no1 at an Everton level team. We, as fans, want Costa and Lukaku both for next season. Noone said that he is not good striker. Jose must be blind to dissagree with that, so normally even Jose would like him behind Costa next season. It maybe even already crossed his mind a two strikers formation for some occasions.

But on the other hand, he (if comments are true) is the one acting like a Diva. Wanting to be instant no1 like he is already that good! The club with their actions simply says he is not there yet, but probably will be in the future. This is where a loan system is useful. So you can still possess young talents and get them playing time because they are not ready yet for you. He has the realise he still has so much work to do on is game,Gary Neville said a few weeks ago after watching Lukaku that he now knows why Chelsea loaned him out, technically he's still poor, his hold up play for a big man average and his decision making needs improvement.
