hjperdeath 2,226
why on earth would he go to the championship when he was one of the pl's top scorersProbably cause Watford have a terrific mentor as a manager, including some of the best coaching staff. David Hughes is a youth coach there, another guy who really brings out the best from young players. And they play quite decent football, that creates an atmosphere for young players to improve. and also the reason of 90 days. Quite handy to bring him back if we need him. zolayes
meetdoscar 335
didn't know it was your words, I thought it was this John Keats guy - who maybe is you then.I think it's insane to assess Mourinho's work and the team with 4 matches played when we won 2 and drew 2 (the two draws against two of the best teams in the world). We disagree mate... if we're not building for the future playing Oscar, Hazard, Schürrle, I don't know what that is. Willian will join the list - also young, Mata is young himself, Kevin has been used in two of those matches. All young players with tons of talent. All comes down to Lukaku at the end of the day...All hail Lukaku the unsung hero of chelsea and a great competitor to "Benteke" the best striker in the world. Don't you dare Barbara
Popular Post! kellzfresh 7,229 Posted September 8, 2013 Popular Post! Share Posted September 8, 2013 good to know the overreaction, nonsense and rubbish isn't found only here. That was one of the most idiotic things I've read... far worse than many of the things I've seen here.TC continues to be the best Chelsea place to be - even if some people have the oddest opinions about our start of season, Mourinho as our manager, and the way we played. The way some people dismiss the heroic - and top quality - match we had against Bayern tell me football must be new in their country or TV.Also the impatience is amusing - rivals 5yo's who want everything right now. Too much theory and really too little real world football views. It's incredible how people don't think time is needed to progress and I've seen a heck more of progress than I've expect in four frigging matchesThe people that criticize mourinho so early like this, don't really know him.In madrid, this is exactly how he started and people criticized him for not scoring enough goals till he turned them into the highest scores ever in laliga.Mourinho starts his development by strengthen from the back, so we don't drop points so early in the season and pile unnecessary pressure from the media on the young players. With time, the flow in attacking will come. The game against Manutd was a "must not lose" game. It wasn't a game to use and go all out "gongho" to win like AVB and fall 3 points behind and secure the saving grace Moyes has been hoping for. NO.We made sure we don't fall behind, get our defensive shape finalized and then move on to the attacking side of our game in the future. The bayern match was a psychollogical match to show people we can compete with the best and we were playing so well in my book till extratime after hazard's goal and the 10men got so tired. Its all going according to plan, mourinho didn't come back to bore us to death. He's an experienced manager, even benitez was experienced enough not to go all out against mancity in his first match and lose.I give us five more matches, and jose's attacking tactics will settle, without us loosing our heads at the back. Be patient chelsea fans.KEEP CALM AND TRUST MOURINHO zolayes, didierforever, Stingray and 3 others

Magic Lamps 11,692
Not sure whether it has been wise to loan out Lukaku. But his 2 cameos this season showed more what he is not yet than what he already is. Even though there is undoubted ability he lacked the cleverness and also the drive against both Villa and Muich. When he cam on with 25 minutes to play in Prague he showed nothing at all. If Drogba would have been in his position he would have worked his socks off throwing himself into every ball, playing fullback at times. Lukaku just strolled around not even attempting a tackle. He was as useless in attack. It might be difficult to retain the ball when you are the only man of you team forward but he was easily dispossessed by players half his size. I remember when Drogba took 7 minutes off the clock just by faking injuries or defending the ball at the corner flag. This is what wins you big matches. Even Ba would have done better in these situations. I think this is sth that Mourinho really rates about strikers. He does not care too much about his pre-season performances or his inconsistent matches for WBA. He needs playing time to develop consistency and match-winning ability. If Mourinho feels he can't give it to Rom yet, be it. Barbara

He is good enough to start for most PL sides IMO and playing in the Championship would be a ludicrous idea considering what he done in the PL last season. Even though going to a Championship team was never a realistic option, there are several other PL clubs who he could of join and possibly even European teams which would be much more beneficial. Anyway at Everton he is at a team who plays good football. To be honest if a Championship loan for Lukaku was even contemplated I would struggle to wonder if that is some kind of April fools day. kellzfresh and English Freak

The fact that people on this forum would even consider the idea of Lukaku going to Watford for 90 days is very concerning. He had offers from Everton & West Brom and from what I heard Marseille, Valencia and Malaga were all interested. He's clearly a talented young striker...just needs more experience so he can better deal with pressurized situations in crucial matches. Stingray 9,441
I hope he gets a good run at Everton and builds up confidence and improves his weaker areas. For now, I cannot blame Wilmots to choose Benteke over him, really.
The only place to be 11,313
..just needs more experience so he can better deal with pressurized situations in crucial matches. How does one get that experience without playing in them?Fuck Everton - he'll learn more from that one penalty miss than 40 games in the PL this season.
