Henrique 9,133
Huge deal. I thought Mourinho made a mistake letting him going on loan last season, but at the end of the day he is not even better than Origi... rantdeville, Peace. and iseah100
Jase 43,479
How much?Everton would be a good club for Romelu to develop at tbh.Have seen the figure £18million been mentioned as his price. If that is true, then it's about £9 million we'll be getting as a profit.. iseah100
LDN Blue 7,903
no disrespect to Everton, but if that's the club that will acquire his signature from us.. well that says a lot. both in terms of who actually rates him on a pedestal and how good HE believes he is.. MrExcalibur100 7,124
Potentially our first major blunder of the transfer window. If our board thinks Costa, Torres and Drogba are good enough (despite other additions) to challenge City's strikeforce all season then their sadly mistaken. Costa is great but this will be his first season in the PL, Torres is a busted flush and injury prone while Drogba, legend that he is, is a shadow of his former self nowadays, so much so that Galatasaray fans want him out. And if Lukaku has to be sold, it should be to a foreign club and for a fee no less than 25 million pounds. I hope we don't mess it up because I've been so happy with our business thus far. didierforever 7,349
the most idiotic thing our board could have done for in a loooooonnnnnggggg time. and when i say "idiotic", i am being kind!!!! Amblève.
Popular Post! The only place to be 11,313 Posted July 19, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted July 19, 2014 Quick, everyone bash the board because....kneejerk!!!!Fact is the board have done superb business this window, and in the last window....and in the window before that. This wouldn't happen without Jose's say so. We don't need the money particularly, although it's always nice to take a swim in the giant Scrooge Mcduck money vault I'm almost certain we have at Cobham. This is simply Jose not rating a player and deciding to cash in. Why is anyone at all surprised at this? Jose places so much emphasis on a player's attitude...understand that and it all becomes so much clearer. Daniel1980 1,425
It's too early to say it's a wrong decision. It depends on whether we're getting another young striker. I believe we will. I doubt Jose wants to rely on Torres and Drogba if Costa gets injured or suspended. So let's wait and see. There's a lot of time until the end of the transfer window. Blue Gino 377
Chelsea initially said according to Lukaku's agent that Romelu will not be loaned out, period. If a deal happens it's because Lukaku whined to leave and frankly he can piss off if that's the case and not another loan deal which means smart ass remarks all season long of how great he is, just sell him if he wants out rather than compete with Torres for minutes which by the way how fricking hard is that to do, to outplay Torres? If a bird landed on the pitch and for 90 minutes dodging players and flying all over the place, that's about what Torres brings. The bird won't score and neither will Torres! Diego Kwsta 96
A guy who doesn't want competition will never make it in life.....I was a huge fan of Romelu, just as a lot of you I supose, but I lost my faith in him.The guy hasnt done anything to prove that he is ready,he cant back up his words in the pitch and thats something that we'll have to think about.Do you really want a guy who want everything on a silver platter? bababoom 4,478
It's obvious he wants to leave, he only has two years left on his contract so he holds all the cards, unfortunately. I wouldn't be surprised if he's not willing to play second fiddle. If we decide to keep him for another year and he still doesn't sign a new contract than he will go for peanuts, in this ffp era we cannot afford to let that happen. Popular Post! The Skipper 20,609 Posted July 19, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted July 19, 2014 I don't understand why people are trying to blast the board... Should we just let Lukaku leave for a cut price deal next year when he only has 1 year left or something? If he doesn't want to stay or sign a new contract, selling him in this window is imperative. Sidzeret 2,257
We shoukd've gone for Mandzukic when we had the chance. If he's not willing to play second striker, better sell him when we can fetch something from his sale. Another loan spell, and it'll be like this year again next year, except we'll be forced to sell him for peanuts. Hope the board and Lukaku comes to a decision this year.
