He's never going to be the striker some of you want him to be, but he's got a nose for goals which is something many strikers lack. It's really a trade off imo. I'd love for him to continue to develop his touch but touch is one of those things that you are born with and can hone but obviously you can't become Messi or Hazard just from training. I don't know that he has that high of a ceiling when it comes to touch.

His touch is one thing, how he uses his size and plays with his back to goal is another. Doesn't need a deft touch but does need to be better at holding up the ball and playing to his size. His technique doesn't look good but you wouldn't notice it as much if he played to what his perceived strengths are.

He's just not that type of players whereas as Benteke is the opposite. Benteke is one of the better target men in world. He's #1 when it comes to winning aerial duels and his link up play at times can be sensational. Lukaku is great facing the goal in space and on the counter but he's relatively poor as a target man,

Yup I agree. Precisely why I think Lukaku is about 3-4 yrs away. He's good, but not high end talent good as yet.

It was Jose's attitude toward some players. Under him every fucking player should defend as he wants them. Mata, KDB even Hazard cannot do it. So what does Jose do? Shipped them two out & has an issue with Hazard. So what's next? May God be with Hazard.

Lets not get too carried away, Belgium were against Luxemburg, but i think he has done enough to warrant a place in our squad as a second striker. His touch and technical ability is still pretty woeful but he scores goals. Regarding KDB, he wanted to leave and lets be honest he was having a hard time getting ahead of the likes of Mata, Hazard, Oscar, Schurrle and Willian, maybe he wasn't ready to wait. To be honest if he had stayed he would have played many games this season especially towards the latter stages of the season when the likes of Willian and Oscar were underperforming. Azpi and Cahill fought for their place in the team, it's a shame KDB didn't have the patience, but i guess it's a World Cup year.

It was a mistake not playing him instead of loaning him out, but we would be complete mugs, if we waste don't give him a proper chance now. He is much more complete whenever before. His first touch has become decent, his movement is intelligent, he works intelligent and his right foot is a weapon, too.

Lukaku is better at 21 when Drogba first was when he joined Chelsea. I sincerely hope we don't mess him around, going to one of the best, if not THE best, strikers in the world.
