zolayes 14,489
Lukaku would have had his chances and they would have come more often than most think if he stayed, based on the utter dog crap on offer, but Mou hinted already the kid chose to bounce on the club for the season rather than prove himself. He values a spot in the World Cup squad over Chelsea at the moment so move on, it is what it is. can you see the future ,,..I DONT blame Lukaku ,,I blame our terrible record of giving young players a decent chance ..Ake declined a loan check where he has beenplaying Bosnian Blue

Ainsley Harriott 2,732
To be fair he does look improved... His passing and touch look better, but his decision making is below par. Expected more from him but he wasn't bad Barbara
Henrique 9,133
According to PL, that was an assist.

He'll improve and come back as an absolute beast next season.
The only place to be 11,313
Put more into that match today than our strikers could manage between them. Here's the thing....we've loaned him to a club who I think are probably better than us. What Martinez has got them playing is remarkable in such a short space of time. zolayes 14,489
On here he is often damned with faint praise BUT those who are still critical do you still consider him only our 4th best striker? Stingray

Squad depth may be their undoing as the season progresses, but definitely a dark horse and maybe a good bet for top four. I liked seeing them today. He is only human, but you just see those defenders hogging around him. It leaves space for all the rest. He is improved, still a bit raw but in productivity terms (for the team - not his goal tally) - he rocks. He brings something (along with the bad touches). Yeah well. Still, we lost at Stoke WTF. y10edn 185
Just watched Romelu live against AFC: definitely not CFC level yet. Immature, doesn't get involved enough for defensive duties, if you can't win one aerial ball against Gibbs in 90 mins. However plenty of passion and good presence. Starman60 1,343
Lukaku is what it says on the tin...A poor mans Drogba. Big, bulky, runs at teams, draws defenders to him, but as Stingray says, he is not quite the finished Chelsea article yet. Dont think he is our 20 goal a season striker at the moment I'm afraid. But Martinez will make him a better player, no doubt. Very good manager in my opinion.
Stingray 9,441
A poor mans Drogba I would not call him that at all :-)More like a genetically modified Drogba in an early stage. DD was nowhere at 20 to be honest. The Mak, The only place to be and semiller1313
Starman60 1,343
genetically modified Drogba Sounds like the "Incredible Hulk" when you put it like that, But if Lukaku ends up like the Drog boy will I be happy :blue scalf: Stingray

johnnythefirst 1,076
I don't think it has ever occured in modern football, that the striker contributing most to a possible title, wasn't even playing for the club. Say thanks for the two extra points, Jose! yuvala
Weckerz 3,781
I never understood the he's not ready argument. Ready for what exactly? Scoring goals?Who cares that he's 'unrefined' or 'unfinished'? Which 20 year old is refined/finished? He's scored goals for fun for every team he's played for since the youth leagues.Drogba could barely get a game for a Ligue 2 team at that age. semiller1313, Mufassir08, silviupastean and 1 other
